Men are generally wimps when it comes to saying they are ill I don't mean the man flu stuff but if they get an ache or pain that will not go away, or blood appears for no apparent reason. So well done Charles a great result, just take note guys.

The more we can do to encourage others to swallow their pride and get checked out if they think something is amiss, then hopefully far more will receive the same good news that you've just had.

Congratulations Charles, needless to say it must have been massively worrying, I'm just really pleased to hear that one of our own has beaten such a horrible illness. <ok>

Good work Charles. My dad's prostate cancer went undetected and the cancer spread into his pelvic region.

    He's still here, but...

I was very worried about spread and when I got the opportunity to talk to the Oncology consultant and I told him my fears, He said "No matter where the prostate cancer spreads to it is always Prostate Cancer and its treatable and containable even if it was on you nose end" I then spoke to a Macmillan nurse who told me the same thing. Comforting words indeed.

That's right. Dad had hormone treatment and the cancer in his pelvic area has abated thankfully. Unfortunately he also has Parkinsons so I suppose all in all he'll be off soon.

My Mam died from lung cancer that spread to her brain and Mz Kempton had thyroid cancer at 32.

Cancer is a big big word when you hear it.

But it's not as big as you Charles <applause>

Well done Tiger (I've said that a few times to You) I'knew you'd have the courage to take the test.

I know someone involved in prostate cancer research. There has been a lot of study over the years. This person is about to have scientific journals published on the findings during research into prostate cancer.

It's hereditary and we've had quite a few cases in our family. Fingers crossed all is good at the moment.

My Dad has just had the test - again. My Grandad had Prostate cancer too.

Keep an eye out for the signs and never be too proud to get to the Dr.

    Great news Charles
And well done for raising awareness of treatable condition, but one that is often ignored rather than raised as a problem
    Fair play to you
