    I've never thought well of the waster..

    He''s a wife beater, an alcoholic fool and just generally a waster.

    The guy won... in a 19 year career mind... ONE medal of note.. ONE... now ok i am being deliberately insulting to scottish league there but seriously. for the "most talented" player of his generation in england he won one FA cup with tottenham and proceeded to piss about for 12 years with his mate jimmy 5 bellies.

    The guy when compared to ryan giggs.... my god...

    He won an FA Cup too, didn't he? But anyway, **** as he may be he was a bloody wonderful footballer, especially before he got injured in the aforesaid FA final. Maradonna seems an utter prick too. Still the best footballer I've ever seen in my life. Add train-wreck-of-a-life Best to that list.

    They can't all be as clean as Charlton or Dalglish.

    Edit - Just worked out that was the one medal you're referring to. :emoticon-0120-doh:

    Yeah maradonna was a complete numpty but he was kicked off the pitch before his rampant drugs taking was finally actually caught despite years and years of it... dunno but a lot of football authorities had to combine to keep him playing.

    Best was mad. I dunno but to be not bothered and retire at 27 was an awful waste.

    So yeah they cant all be decent guys i suppose.
