Heard good things about picklive and keep meaning to give it a go. Might try when premier league is back next week.

Sounds pretty tempting, although Sky don't seem to accommodate that sort of bet. I can say Hull to win and Fryatt to score, or Koren, but not both. :(

Interesting to see that we're favourites - just.

I often put a seven draws bet on and bet on doubles three, four, five, six and seven folds. If you spread the stake across those the right way you only need to get 2-3 out of the 7 to get your money back and if you get 4+ you're well quids in. I once got 6/7 and it payed out about £450 - would have been 7/7 and thousands if Tim Cahill hadn't scored in the last pissing minute. It was a weird feeling - it was my biggest ever betting win but I was still pissed off at what could have been!

How do you work that one out? Brilliant if you can get it to work but I'm trying to do it with the Premier League opening games and I need a least 5/7 just to win my money back.

That's using a Super Heinz mind, did you mean do separate bets on doubles, trebles, 4, 5, 6 and 7 folds? If so, how do you usually spread it out?

Accumulators with the obvious in the likes of Man utd, Celtic, Rangers and form teams. Not massive returns individually but get 7/8 teams on it your in for a decent bet. Win a tidy sum after a season.

my worst losses has been £300 on england to beat northern ireland a few years ago, and once had £250 on Phil Taylor to win the world darts, about the one occasion in the last 500 years he didnt win it <laugh>..
best win is a draw accumulator in the darts premier league a few years back, 650 quid from 30 quid stake, ...

i change my tactic all through the football season, my brother had a lucky win once, by closing his eyes and picking 4 random draws off the coupon, they came in and he won about 500 quid, so i tried it every week for 6 month and didnt win a bean, so then i change to whacking loadson heavy faves, then that goes wrong, and i try outsiders, then when that goes wrong, i try in game betting...anybody got a phone number for a helpline? ;)

<laugh> <laugh> Try JG's bald heads advice, if you can get it to work it'll probably be good for you but I can't pull it off at all :(

Same bet every week for me.
City to win, Leeds to lose, in a double.

Yep - separate bets, normally £1 on the seven fold (just in case it comes in then I'm proper quids in) then anything from about a 10p-25p unit stake on the other bets depending on if I've been winning recently - works out at anything between a £10 to £30 stake. I do it on bet365 and it's relatively straightforward to do. I'm not claiming to have found a foolproof system though - it does happen that I'll get 0/7 and lose it all sometimes!

Ladbrokes have Brady at 4/1 to score at any time, might be worth a go?

I'm a bit surprised by tonight's odds, we're 13/10 favourites, with Blackpool 2/1, I expected it to be narrower than that.

going by our home form last year, and the unpredicatability of the opening day, i expect a lot of neutrals will take that 2/1 on blackpool

Hobbs 40/1 to score first tonight, repeat maybe??

I'm the reverse. Can't make heads or tails of decimal, not that I've every made the effort, it's probably really straight forward.

It's just to multiply the odds with your bet

If the odds is 2,00 and you bet 10 quid, you'll win 20 quid. 2*10.
If the odds is 2,30 and you bet 10 quid, you'll win 23 quid. 2,30*10

Just move the decimal, simple math ;)
