I would love to see Leeds do well in the League Cup. It's been far too long for us. At the same time if we do go out its nothing to cry about.
Afternoon Billy, we have got some strong personalities in the dressing room now, hope now the confidence will grow, and we can build waves of attacks without the fear...
Inexperienced is a perception. many managers and ex managers are saying Monk is one of the brightest prospects in the country. To a man they all say he did a great job at Swansea and was unlucky to lose his job. Yet some Jacks fans say he was boring and crap in his second season, even though it was him that took them to their highest ever league position for a while. We have Popy and Dalton trying to create a story about him getting the sack and the same **** in the Mirror. On Sky at the weekend we were told that between jobs he went and studied his skill with Seville and was there every day for every session for weeks, learning and picking up tips. We know what he's giving our team and what they will potentially be like if he has time. So perception, and mine is that he is going to be a star and will be talked about as England manager, talk of him at prem clubs etc. leave him the fook alone and let him do his stuff. Dont get on his back as soon as a result goes wrong, trust the management team to do it. After all they only want to please the fans. Give him a chance, and hang him when its obvious he hasnt a clue, but until then we have potentially the best manager for years
Evening Doc I would love to see some girls from Leeds in the first half. If we can play like we have done in the second half we will fly up the table
Monk saying no wholesale changes. I agree with him, if we are building momentum then we don't want wreck that, wins breed confidence. Personally I'd leave the defence exactly as it is. As you've all said Jansson / Bartley are beginning to build an understanding together and with the rest of the defence and communication with the goalkeeper, can't see how that can develop if you break up the unit. Better to use this game where the result isn't all important, more of a nice to win than must win.
Fair point LoL. But I'd still consider resting Jansson in particular to protect him from injury before a more important game on Saturday
A stranger returns to our shores .... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37412187 Leyton Orient have signed former Leeds and AC Milan midfielder Zan Benedicic on a deal until January. The Slovenia Under-21 international has joined on a free transfer after leaving Italian side Ascoli. The 20-year-old came through Milan's youth academy and spent a month on loan with Leeds in 2014-15, making two appearances as a substitute. Benedicic has also played for Serie B side Como and featured nine times for Ascoli before leaving.
Who he? Jake Beales-Hobson @JakeBealoJourno 1h1 hour ago Remember the deadline day mystery man Amadou Haidara (below), he's been with the under-23's today. #lufc please log in to view this image
Could have had something to do with our under 20 ones getting hammered for nail at this evening. Saying that it's switched had a very strong side out including Leon best
