Wow really?? I don't remember that which is probably a good thing. I'd find it hard to believe he's worth £1 million in today's market

He cost us £500k, but there was a £500k clause if we got to the Premier League.

Widely regarded as the best player outside the premier league when Burnley haven't been in it. He's probably worth 4 or 5m despite his age.

Ok .. has anyone any knowledge as to how many potential bidders are now in for us .. I know OLM mentioned one such bidder was filthy rich .. are they the new consortium linked with Pearson or a totally different group .. it does seem to be getting rather messy

Three. The original Chinese bidder, the new Chinese bidder and AP's consortium, who are supposed to be British billionaires, but I've no idea who they are.

Word in the Griffin on Sat is that they are in the fashion business? Philip Green looking for a new business perhaps.

Green's got enough **** going on, I doubt he'd want the added grief of being a football club owner, though he was involved in a bid for Everton ten years ago (despite being a Spurs fan). There aren't many other possibilities, Stephen Rubin's the only other Billionaire I can think of.

I know Bernie Ecclestone was involved with QPR a few years ago maybe he fancies another go. Probably bollocks but you never know.

If AP is involved I'd take a punt that his internet mate Wilkinson will be a part of it. It paid out for him and AP last time.

It's Healey, and they've never been remotely interested in owning City and certainly won't be now.

Yes they have. I was once sat with one of them, a relation of thiers ( who was involved in local semi pro football) and a friend of his, who I knew. It was in the days when 4,000 was a good crowd at City and the Healy used to sit at the back of the West Stand in disguise as not to attract attention.
From memory the stumbling block was that if they put anything into City they would get every Tom Dick and Harry in the city saying 'what about us?'
I don't suppose the agro the Allam's have been getting will encourage many local billionaires to step forward.

Maybe Livermore, Huddlestone, Dawson and Mason have got him excited about little Hull.

The only reason the Allams got any grief was due to their twattish behavior towards the fans. Any owner local or otherwise would get the same if they did the same.
