Yes that's a good point Matt. I've heard people mention - not on here - that the terriers were an improving side under his stewardship last season. Having just had a look at their figures it doesn't make for good reading. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015–16_Huddersfield_Town_A.F.C._season I'd forgotten that they finished 19th and lost loads of matches. I wonder what they saw in him to keep him on?
Mine was a slightly facetious remark. I think Huddersfield went up the year before so probably had a more humble and moderate target. Add to that the signs of improvement (note that it was possibly with inconsistent results both in points and performance) and then the cajones and patience to give him time. I think we're in that rut where people (rightly or wrongly) doubt that improvement is possible. Personally, I don't see that 10 months is sufficient time for a manager and just find the succession of managers who have a short time to implement a long term vision really galling. I'll stick with JFH while others call me blind or stupid just because there might be something better that comes with time.
We have to stick with JFH until at least Xmas and as long as we are clear from relegation we stick with him until the end of season. We win 2 games on the bounce and a cup game or 2 and people are talking of promotion, cup run and JFH & Les are doing wonders for our club. We lose 2 on the bounce and JFH & Les are pony and we need to clear the decks ASAP. Get a grip people for the last 20 years QPR have been an average championship side at best and a below average team at times and on the rare occasion above average and that got us into the premiership. I think when achieving premiership status a hell of a lot of supporters believed QPR were an above average team well unfortunately that isn't the case and the constant chopping and changing of managers which in turn means players also changing needs to stop. Let's stick with what we've got and hope as that's all we can do is hope that in turn things do turn around for the club and then maybe we can call ourselves an above average team that's hopefully in the premiership because above average will do me for for the next 20 years
