Llorente is a class player just we're not supplying him. We don't utilise any of his strengths. That's why we need to play Barrow and montero they're the only players that will deliver a good cross into the box.
You are dead right. Fer's goal against Leicester came about from a decent cross that Llorente headed back in to the area for Fer to anticipate and run on to. We need more of this from our wingers and more of the same from our midfield. I don't think Mcburnie is physically strong enough yet either. A lot of players are not fast by using anticipation, class and experience they make up for it. I can think of Bobby Moore as a prime example.
His system failed because Taylor was a plank, and couldn't implement simple offensive game and passing without handing the ball back to the opposition, I'd bench the Turnip for most of the season, or until he can prove he can get the basics of football right, if he sulks then let him play in the under 23's........
Talking your usual Bollocks again then Dai, nothing like some real facts, our passing accuracy is currently 80% this season while game possession is 51%, it only takes one or two players for the stats to drop, but don't let that get in the way of your agenda with Franco, your a joke of a supporter..............
Don't be daft now 'Sir' it was Taylor's first game after the Euro's, it was only reasonable for Franco to expect a better shift from Taylor, but he let the gaffer down, still time enough though for Taylor to ponder his poor performance from the bench.............
And I suppose you do? what a nugget, you don't have the foggiest about the game, why don't you go and support Monk on the Leeds board while you still can, they really shouldn't have given the inmates at Cefn Coed computers..............
Optimistic for a 3-1 today with the right team selection. However, my head is leaning towards a 1-1 stale mate. My team for today: Fabianski Naughton, Amat, Van der Hoorn, Kingsley Cork, Fer Barrow, Gylfi, Montero Llorente I genuinely don't think we're as bad as people are trying to make out. We still on the whole dominate the ball, and we had 48 attempts (15 on target) in our first 3 games while limiting the opposition. We have to convert our chances better, we know that, but that doesn't make us a bad team. It's better to create attempts at goal than not, and it shows that we do tend to always have a solid foothold in the game. West Ham are bad at the moment. As are Sunderland. Despite our supposedly horrific start to the season, we're still sat in the pack (not behind it) and a couple of wins could propel us away. Fingers crossed today is the start of that process. Southampton under Koeman were a bit of a bogey team for us - I'll be interested to see how the game pans out now that he's moved on.
If he does it will show how much we don't need Guidolin as manager. Taylor disrespected him and the club with his tantrum last week and was also pathetic on the pitch. I wouldn't even have him on the bench. I am not expecting much from todays game, but like last week I am hoping for a better and improved performance, I can take losing if it looks like we are in the game.
If we play like the battling 2nd half last week we'll hopefully get something from this... But Guido needs to send the team out with players that can make something happen, quite the opposite from that shocking selection against Chelsea. The players need to believe they've got a team on the pitch that can create something. They need to have more direction than just thinking we'll maybe feed off hopeless scraps. He's fvckin gutless at times. Francesco please prove me wrong...
I am like you a firm believer in occupying their defenders rather that just let them have the freedom to do what they want and allow them to bomb on. I hope we go with width and pace and get at them. But, like you i fear we will go with the same old negative defensive ****e. Please Mr Guidolin prove me wrong and just have a go for once.
I think Kingsley will start today and Taylor will start Wednesday against City. If Taylor does get selected I'll only judge the decision on his performance and contribution to the team. In reality people throw a tantrum in work and it's best to just move on and not dwell on things. IMO Kingsley has done nothing wrong as such to warrant dropping him. Although, we have no idea what goes on in training all we see is what's given to us by the media and what we see during games.
I thought Taylors antics were poor last weekend. I understand his frustration, but keep it behind closed doors and not in view of everyone, I actually believe Guidolin was 100% right in doing what he did, although it should have been 15 mins earlier. Where he got it wrong was apologising for his decision. To be fair you are spot o and Kingsley has been excellent and deserves to be I the side.
Kingsley should start ahead of Taylor, that's obvious. Depending on shape, if Taylor starts that's a sign of weak management in my book. Not hopeful today. A draw would be OK I guess. I agree on Llorente - he seems the type of player that needs things teed up for him as opposed to fashioning goals himself. I don't think our team does that enough to be honest.
