You would suspect that Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, its inspiration, its idol, its very raison d’etre has found the perfect opportunity for ROYAL IRISH HUSSAR (2.30 Plumpers) to win his first heat since November 2013 tomorrow.

When this one first arrived at Seven Barrows the intention had been to turn him into a stallion (Royal Irish Hussar not Mr Henderson) by winning one of the major Grade 1 4YO hurdles but sadly this was not too be for the son of Galileo. Although he did win that season at Grade 2 level. Subsequently gelded he runs tomorrow 19 lbs below his peak rating back in term 2013/14.

The barn won the only previous renewal of this race in ’15 and a double should be on the cards courtesy of Royal Irish Hussar off 128.

    Good luck, pilgrims.

thanks sir barney -your antennae are finely tuned at the moment and well done on your double earlier today's!
however , your unquestioned loyalty to magic hands hendo leads to wishful rather than constructive thinking in some instances -the performances of some that have run recently suggests caution is advised - maybe some of the feeds at seven barrows have been ....altered.....or some other innocent factor but the kites that have been tried recently have not flown well .......but each to their own ---I shall endeavour to go to Bangor soon and if I'm early enough will try and catch hendo before he's calling for tugs........

I'm definitely not one for putting up a Nicky Henderson horse or ones at such ****ty prices but I think Royal Irish Hussar 3/1 in the 2:30 Plumpton looks to have a cracking chance tomorrow(today). The only other thing that takes my fancy is Aljazzi 7/2 in the 3:20 Gowran Park. Win singles and win double

Ample Sufficiency 11/8 ought to take the concluding maiden at Gowran, with Dermot firing the winners in recently his form looks good and it would take a huge effort from a newcomer to lower his colours now he drops into a maiden. The run lto should have him spot on and so far he has handled all types of going.

Watford to beat man u at 5/1 is a bit of an insult -Troy Deeney to get the winner -to reverse last season's travesty !!

Gowran 2.50-Rekindling caught my eye after an impressive run at Galway finishing runner up to listed winner Capri.Dermot Weld is on fire at the moment so there is no suprise to see Rich History is the favourite but Rekindling appeals more at 5/1.
Utoxy 3.10-Vics Last Stand has gone up 6lbs for two last wins but that rise shouldn't be enough to stop her going in again at 2s
Singles and double is the order of the day.

The Racing Post has a story about an unlucky punter who missed out on £340k Scoop 6 jackpot when his final pick finished runner up in the Ayr Gold Cup yesterday. To be honest the runner up was well beaten so hardly agonising as described. However a mate of mine went to the Curragh last Sunday and said that a punter was denied the £400k Pick 6 pot when the 1/7 shot Order of St George went down to Wicklow Brave in the Irish St Leger. If that's true then that really is a sickener.

Nice call from Simon Holt there at Plumpton - spotted Colla Pier travelling best of all from miles out.

Rubbish from Royal Irish Hussar, that's why I hate posting shorties, at least when at a decent price and they don't win you can kind of justify it because of a bigger price

Bring back Van Gaal they all cry! Still no change at United. Wingers playing full back. Trying to fit Rooney in. And splashing 90 million on a player worth about 12 million <laugh> gotta follow the moneyball methods ya'll.

Bada Bing get in-Rekindling scores at Gowran, was a bit nervous when I seem the drift out to 7s but led from the front and won well.Hopefully Vics Last Stand will win to land the double.
