He didn't score the goal or move towards the ball. Only ever moving away from the play, so not offside.
Matip I think it was, was in offside position when ball was played but he was walking backwards away from goal and not interfering st all.

Thats irrelevant under the rules. If he moved towards it the linesman can flag. He clearly stopped having got a good shout from lovren.
No because the motion towards is used in the case of a dummy that confuses the GK, not someone getting there before them. Otherwise someone could be in an offside position, someone taps a ball into an empty net, and before it crosses the line the player in the offside position runs towards the goal to celebrate and you then claim it's offside. Doesn't make sense.
