When the wife is away does anyone else get absolutely blotto without really realising it's happening? Or is it just me?
Glad i'm not alone. Gone for a beautiful Priorat followed by Setze Gallets from Valencia. Spanish night at the Ward house.
5:00 Yarmouth- MYOPIC- 11/10 Sorry again for putting up such a short price but this IMO represents some great value will go off odds on for sure so anything against is great value, the second Fav has been found out on his current mark and needs something special to take this, the other two are still a maidens and altho Kaatskill Nap does look unexposed still my selection looks to have more offer and looks to be just the best horse in the field
Listowel 4.05 Woodford Island 7/2 If Elliott has this lad fit after a break he should hack up. Slight question mark though as he'd had another in a beginners chase as fat as a pig after a break a couple days back. See money for the Sharks horse. For every successful gamble he pulls off theres about 20 train wrecks so I'm hoping I'm not hit by the 20/1!
Morning, team. The big racing question of the day doesn’t concern which gee-gee will be in front once all the slaps on the rump and kicks in the belly have been administered but will Claire ‘Balders’ Balding get ‘The Bake Off’ job?!? Both my mole in the kitchen and my mole in the production suite are saying ‘get on’. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...
Couple of nice rides for Crowley at Yarmouth, Dawoodi in the 2.45 and Silent Assassin in the 3.15; the second is my selection of the 2, but both may get some pennies, since I'm so obsessed now with this bloody Jockey Championship!! I like the look of Mister Belvedere in the opener at Ayr, won LTO, yard in form and handles the conditions. ( Bet 365 gave me a loyalty bonus, this one gets it ) Looking for a bit of value in the 2.00 at Ayr and I think Finn Class could be it, though this is a competitive race, so that may not be a concrete selection. Again at Ayr, I can't possibly ignore Jay Kay in the 3.05. If there is any return from these speculative shots I may just have a peruse at this evening's Chelmsford card. Good Luck all.
A very speculative ew Patent at monster prices. All 3 horses have shown enough in the past to make me feel like they are capable of a big run and maybe if showing their best today can grab a place (or better): 3:00 Listowel - Redclue 66/1 4:50 Ayr - Imshivalla 66/1 6:50 Chelmsford - Sir Geoffrey 40/1
Kilkishen has been backed down from 20/1 into 5/2 Beefy has he? Kerrieonvic wouldn't break stride to win if he was 100% but the fact he's had another long lay off since his reappearance run is enough to put me off at the price.
James (Rev) 4 rides in Auetuiel today all got chances I'm told all decent ew prices small ew lucky for me Stay Frosty
Money for Money on Mister Belvedere, couldn't be much closer, so happy with that. Now, this 2.00 is too open, so I'm wimping out, there are just too many in with a shout! Jockey change on Jay Kay ...... Hmmm ....
That really would kill the show. Ekhtiyaar is an interesting newcomer today in the 2nd at Yarmouth. By first season sire Bated Breath he's out of a mare called Bayja (by Giants Causeway) who traces back to a good filly and mare called Trillion who was the dam of a cracking filly/racemare called Triptych (look her up). She didn't have any foals but this newcomer has her full-sister as her great grand-dam. Looks an open event so some interest in Ekhtiyaar will happen. Mrs Windsor has a good looking Oasis Dream colt called Merlin running for the second time in the first race. His dam is a filly called Momentary who won the Newbury Oaks Trial (used to be the Sandleford Priory Stakes) on her 2nd start. Momentary is the only living product of the Queen's Oaks 2nd Flight of Fancy so an important member of the Sandringham team. Merlin should be better suited by the 8f of this event: things were happening too quickly for him on his debut. I'll be disappointed if he doesn't run a lot better.
Sorry I meant it was 20/1 for a Shark Hanlon gamble to land such is the amount of unsuccessful attempts he seems to have! Aye the Byrnes runner did take the eye a bit but his best line of form getting close to Don Poli flatters him, such is the way that one operates! Plus the Byrnes runner is coming up to being off for close to a year so chances are he may need it even more. What perhaps, naively, makes me think the Elliott runner may be ready enough to go is Tommy Doran, the owner, had 2 winners there yesterday, it's his local festival so he may just have had a word in old boy Elliott's ear a good while back to make sure his runner wasn't there to make up the numbers. The Elliott horse has better hurdle form in my view anyway, in his maiden win he beat a decent stablemate who won 2 of his next 3 starts with the pair 20 lengths clear of the third. He travelled over to England last season too a few times so they mustn't see him the worst in the yard. If my lad gets any bigger than he is it will look like he is just out for the jog but who knows!
The Reveley lad still managed £30k in prize money from his mounts. 7% of that should see him cover his costs and a nice bottle or 2 of French vino from duty free.
your right Chan he does very very well out there. with his dad packing up soon most of his work will be over there now
