Think next three games will tell a story LL. Well be past the whole pre season wasnt long enough, players dont know each other or he doesnt know best formation or best team excuses. Hell have had ten league and three cup games by then, long enough for any proper coach or manager to mark his mark
I heard it was bogus twitter account and he's really angry as he said he doesnt have a twitter account. However he had to open one to go on and refute the bogus one? Not a story really, a bigger story will be the new midfield set up if Bridcutt misses the game. O'Kane surely plays anyway but does Mowatt or Dave start
Agreed Eire..... if we lose against Cardiff, or have a possible draw then wouldn't be surprised if it happened earlier.
Loved the line about the 16 midfielders Elland... I just keep getting a funny feeling we're going to lose against Cardiff. Game against Blackburn wasn't brilliant and some big improvements in form are needed.
Would imagine Phillips (most likely) or Viera will play alongside O'Kane if Bridcutt misses out. Wouldn't be surprised to see O'Kane on the bench if Bridcutt is fit, Monk doesn't seem too confident O'Kane is up to speed yet
Well here's hoping the players still fight like the other night, and we see more of the quality of that match and the wendies game. If we do that for the rest of the season then people have to get off the back of Monk. Consistency required as well as skill levels upped
Monk needs a little while longer. Lots of big hitters struggling with us and lower, Derby, Villa, Cardiff and Blackburn. Way bigger spenders too. Why do Leeds fans always seem themost impatient
I don't think we are impatient pal, I think we feel confused about things that seem blatantly obvious. 1) Would any Leeds supporter play Green ahead of the others? 2) Would any supporter have made Bamba captain? 3) Would any supporter play Mowatt on the wing? 4) Would anyone have signed Grimes on loan and dump him after a game signing more central midfield players? I could go on and on, not impatient on my part, more bewilderment at many of the decisions that haven't worked and most of us could have told Monk that and we're not professional coaches
All those you mentioned have been in the Prem in the last 10 years, so their fans know what its like to dine at the top table
Got to agree with Eire on this comment, Monk was not given the chance of having a team ready and prepared at the start of the season, if by end of October it is still dire then its GTF time Mr. Monk.
Unfortunately Doc, Monk has made his job twice as hard as it should be after that Pope interview - blaming the fans and having a pop at a respected journalist wasn't the wisest of moves
Definitely not a bogus Twitter account, link below proves it was his genuine account It's an official club tweet that copies Silvestre in.
L-L-D-L-D-D-W-D-L W-W-L-D-L-L-L-W-L-L-L-D-W The first lot is Revie's 1st 9 games in charge and then in the interests of fairness the next 13 are his first 13 games of the next season so after a pre-season. Can't imagine he'd survive losing one of those three games on the trot losing streaks under Cellino much less the second.
Depends mate on the circumstances, have a read up on Wiki in regards to what Revie inherited. I dare say Monk has walked into a stronger team than that inherited by Revie. Monk was given backing and funds on day one, Revie wasn't given any spending power until later.
And that was without the Don being able to bring in 12 of his own players! EDIT: You must have posted whilst I was typing, Ristac. Same sentiment, I think.
Indeed Actually, I bet no coach/manager has been backed so much with funds and new players since O'Leary
Does anyone here really believe that Silvestri was guilty of the 'like'? I personally don't believe he did, intentionally or otherwise. I don't think he's that stupid. He may have been hacked, he may have did it by mistake, or it's possible someone might have made it appear to be so. At the end of the day, it's an internal matter for the club, and only if there is a case to answer. Sadly, we have poisonous 'fans', who as usual, without any real evidence or understanding, have decided that they're Judge & Jury, & have launched a tirade against one of our own players. One of our own!!!! I am absolutely disgusted by them & hope I never, ever associate with them. Someone is looking for trouble & has a band of rabid followers happy to join on the bandwagon. If I could, I would ban them forever from anything to do with Leeds.
