please log in to view this image With no new injury concerns coming out of last weekend’s draw at Burnley, it is the progress of those already in the treatment room that provides the basis of our latest injury update. We caught up with the Tigers’ Head of Medical Services, Rob Price, to get the latest news…. Allan McGregor Allan is now seven-and-a-half weeks post-surgery on his back injury and is continuing with his neural pathway work to try and increase his range. He is improving week by week, but this one is going to take time. We said that it would probably be December before he was anywhere near and that still looks likely to be the case. Moses Odubajo Moses is progressing really well seven weeks on from his patella dislocation and he is fully weight-bearing now. His range of movement is now only about ten degrees down compared to his other side and as soon as he regains that extra ten degrees he’ll be able to start on the AlgerG and start his running re-education, and we hope that will be by the end of this week. Alex Bruce (pictured) Alex is also now fully weight-bearing following his achilles tendon reconstruction. He started some swimming pool rehab last week and some running mechanics within that, but we have to be cautious not to push this too quickly. Michael Dawson Michael is progressing nicely and had a great week outside last week. As always with medial ligament injuries, the last thing that comes back is the ability to hit a side-foot pass and hit a long ball and we expect that to come back in the next two or three weeks. Realistically, we’re looking at after the next international break for him being available to be part of the squad. Brian Lenihan Brian is continuing his outdoor rehab and we want to make sure we give him the best chance of progressing from this knee injury. We’re increasing his load slowly to give him the best chance of doing that. Greg Luer Greg is a couple of weeks on from surgery on his knee. He started fully weight-bearing on Monday and is working on his strength in the gym, but it’s a 12 to 16-week injury. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...eatment-room-3307131.aspx#hZYE1s5kgFcDgQb5.99
Have to say it`s nice to get such in depth updates these days, especially remembering the Diame is a week away from playing debacle !
For me only Odubajo out of all these would get in the match day squad if all were fit, Dawson's days are numbered IMO, unless we cash in on Harry in January!
Shame, he's the next Dawson IMO, younger with the same pace & looks to have a good pass on him, whilst not afraid to tackle.
Seems like good news. My stomach did turn a bit at the 'Achilles Reconstruction' bit. Am I imagining it or has Lenihan spent more time with us injured than he has fit? Whenever I seem to read about him he's always coming back from an injury or he's injured. Be great to have a fully fit squad again. We always seem to be cursed with a seemingly above average number of long term absentees.
We really did have some **** luck early throughout preseason didn't we!? These aren't just sprained ankles!!
It's a treadmill which reduces load on the joints by holding you up with air pressure. It allows them to progressively Increase load, and re-educate proper running mechanics
