That's not very nice Iain, I'm on jury duty this week and i've come on here to chill and have some craic after what has been a very stressful period, could you therefore be nice to me?

Sorry, can't really say until it's over, they said the trial may take 5 days but it looks odds on to be 6 days at least. It's quite a disturbing case is all I can tell you at this time.

 

I look forward to hearing all about it, I reckon it will take 12 days. Is it free parking for the jurors?

 

No free parking sadly but every lunchtime we are bussed to a nearby Inn where we are fed and watered, from a decent menu it has to be said. 5 days off work is a nice bonus too.

What I can say is that the way the Sherrif and QC speak is hilarious, it's as if they have just arrived on Earth for a visit having read nothing but law books, and watched only movies about Scotland in the 18th century on their 40 odd year journey.

 

That does indeed sound hilarious

 

There's a lot of building work outside the court, piledrivers and the like. The Sherrif stopped and said "I don't understand what's happening here, the court seems to be shaking". I'm no legal expert but I'm guessing it was the vibrations from the building site 50 yards away which could be seen clearly through the window.

 

Fans of a certain football club smashing up toilets in a certain stadium?

 

Sounds like the defence is on shakey ground.

Thank **** Dev came in and saved GC from an untimely demise with his hilarious tales of the judiciary.

This should ease Toby's pain.

 

Interesting that Toby was none too happy about the multiple OF threads on GC, one of which at least was started by a non OF fan.

Doubtless he will show the offending poster the error of his ways.
