signs of a desperate man at Fleetwood on Saturday .
Slade gave his after match Presser without mentioning the penalty that he thought was stonewall.
Went back inside came out 10 mins later to do another press conference re his view on the penalty appeal.
Novak was wiped out it was a stonewall pen how can the ref not see it blah blah blah.
Then we get the incident tweeted out by cafc showing it from 85 different angles.
The point being despite Fleetwood being such a tough place to visit we should of won there's the evidence.

Having watched the incident from everyone of the 85 different angles it's not stonewall at all.
Two Fleetwood players run into each other fall over along with Novak .
If that had been given against us Charlton forums would of been full of we were cheated no way a pen.
Now I'm not saying that some refs without the many angles and 50 hrs of footage may of given it ,some would, many wouldnt
Others no doubt will say yes it was a pen specially wearing cafc tinted glasses but really did we need a second Presser and the video release.
We escaped with a point possibly undeserved but a point non the less .
So far in our games we have got what we deserved be it win defeat draw, maybe Fleetwood was our least deserving point from what I hear but we had a few decent moments.

The penalty thing is just a smokescreen to try and deflect any criticism.

Lets face up to the fact - Fleetwood were by far the better side on Saturday, dominated possession, and played the better football. Their movement off the ball was light years ahead of ours. We only got going in the late second half after Bokara came on and started creating chances. Other than that, we were woeful.

Fleetwood were only formed in 1997 and their first two home league attendances were 2,500 and 2,600. That is what we are up against.

Slade grubbing about a penalty decision is frankly pathetic - you are not at Leyton Orient now mate, expectations are a bit higher.

Slade comes across as a very defensive man (tactics aside) and somewhat insecure. You very rarely find little success with those type of managers. Steve Coppell at Reading is one that comes to mind, but even that was a rarity in his managerial career.

A thin skin is just what any manager doesn't need, let alone a manager working for the Belgian Mafia. I wonder how he'll respond to a blast from Elfs if it comes to that?

Strange also that in his press conference after the game Slade referenced the stick he got from fans for hooking Ricky Holmes. He certainly gestured to our end when Novak scored, I saw it.

It will be interesting to see who runs out of patience with Slade first - our fans or the Belgians.

i've already had enough of him. he's what i'd describe as a journeyman manager. he'll puddle around the lower leagues for his entire career. for us, he's not exciting enough for our stature. we should really have an up and coming, attack minded manager. someone people in all leagues respect (e.g. powell, parkinson, howe - i believe we were after him at one point). slade doesnt cut it for me.

after us, he'll manage wycombe and then gillingham. he's that sort of manager. we wont get out of L1 with him.

I don't think Russell's objective is to get us out of League One <cheers>

It's to arrest the decline, and keep us out of League Two - something that would have happened under Peeters/ Luzon/ Fraeye.
