Funnily enough I have almost zero interest in Scottish Old Firm matches but am oddly curious about how other Scottish football teams do as they get so little exposure. Back around 2003, I even went to a match at the Excelsior stadium to watch Airdrieonians with a Scottish mate from Lanarkshire. It was unexpectedly good fun. I watched the videos I linked out of slight curiosity that some future Saints players just might be in them, and sure enough..!

I've just read that Millwall have been stitched up by the local council. They're selling off most of the areas around the ground to turn into flats.
I think I would be a bit outraged by this if it were any other club.

You may be interested in this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07th4fy/scotlands-game-2-the-perfect-storm
It's a pity that episode 1 has expired because it had more stories about the smaller clubs. This is mainly the Old Firm but interesting nonetheless.
Episode 2 expires tonight so if you want to watch it you'll have to get your skates on, as they say not far from here.

Yes, that was interesting. Notably, the introduction of Sky TV undermined the whole foundation of Scottish professional football. It gave unrealistic dreams to people who should have known better. It meant that those with the biggest pockets bought success just like they do in the EPL and how it has always been done. Scottish football is actually the EPL in microcosm. Peculiarly, the way the rules run in American Football [Grid Iron] is something like the way the EPL should be run so that the competition is much fairer and that the money side doesn't run out of control. Last season's Leicester City triumph was a huge breath of fresh air, for every true football supporter. It was easily the most popular Premier League title win since the EPL began. You'd think those in authority might take notice of that and make sure that those clubs with the most money don't have it all their own way. But they won't, and there will be the continual scrap for more and more money to pay greedier and greedier players and other hangers-on. How long before the bubble eventually bursts.? Probably when we all come to our senses.

Tony Bellew on Soccer AM wittering on about Koeman - "at the end of the day he's Ronald Koeman - one of the greatest left backs in the history of the game. Second only to Paolo Maldini for me".

Just looked at a piece about Mourinho in yesterday's Mail and saw a bit about Van Gaal. Apparently he made the players wait until he was served his meal and then the players were selected to go and get their meals....like being back at school. No wonder no one warms to him.

Barca losing at home to Alavez. Hopefully they'll go on a terrible streak, Enrique will get sacked and Koeman will go there.

Well I watched the Saints without the volume on. Shocking stuff at the end as we know.

Instead of having the stream volume on I listened to the match commentary on Radio Lincolnshire of the mighty Imps taking on top of the table Tranmere away and happy days, the mighty Imps won 1-0 and sit atop the national vanarama league. Let's hope they can finish there at the end of the season and return to the Football League (for the second time.)

Been to all the home games this season so far with the boys and has been most enjoyable (bar several unpaid dodgier than dogy refs ;) and will be at the Bank again on Tuesday and Saturday to hopefully see the boys stretch their lead at the top.

They just equalised, but not exactly playing well. Both these teams look poor.

    Now winning! Ha

So today was Feyenoord vs ADO in the Eredivisie, their was a area in the stadium which was reserved for sick children from a hospital. The ADO supporters made their day even better by throwing presents into that area on the 12th min.

    Amazing.
