I'm sorry lads but this bloke is **** at this level. He's quick and can beat players at times, but his crossing isn't great, and he can't score at this level either. He's a great CC player, but PL defenses eat him up. You should have gone after Gradel instead. We've robbed you for 2 million. If you go back down, then he's a great buy because he can help any team get promotion, but he's not good at PL level. You need better signings if you want to survive.
We'll see I guess. Yours is clearly a more informed opinion having seen him play but some of his performances for QPR last season give me hope he can recreate that form for us in the Premiership.
Different set up at the Toon. It's not unusual for a player to 'click' at a new club and vice versa. Graham was red hot for Watford last season but hasn't set the world alight with us in pre-season. Depends on lots of factors, including position, players around him, style of play and formation. Let's not write Routledge off just yet.
No one from newcastle is going to come on here and say 'What a player he is' He has just left them. I will judge for myself when i see him play. What i saw of him last year. Which i accept was not lots. He looks a good signing to me. Lets wait and see and support him. I think we will all be pleasantly surprised.
I'm sorry lads but this bloke is **** at this level. sorry toon he was **** for you, he was good for qpr and he will be great for us...
Hi Swans QPR fan in peace (Yes there are some of us who do view your board without looking to wind you all up). There was a fair bit of debate a few weeks ago about Routledge, should we sign him etc, he did do very well when he joined us on loan last season. My only worry about him was he had opportunities in the premier league at 3 seperate occasions (Spurs, Villa and Newcastle) and never seemed to quite establish himself and for that reason I was not overly worried about him as a possible signing unlike others. But there is no doubting his attacking qualities and seeing the way yourselves played last season, and if that is the way you will play in the future months I can see him slotting in quite nicely. At the end of the day sometimes it is worth taking a bit of a gamble on someone, and there is part of me that thinks this one will pay off. Do any of you know how much he is on a week by the way? I couldn't find that info anywhere. Good luck for the season Swans, in a way I hope all 3 of the promoted teams that went up in some small way manage to survive.
If it doesnt work its not the end of the world anyway, Hes got to prove hes worth his space in front of SS and ND 1st.
