Jesus H Christ.....I said on here it isn't over till the fat lady sings...And $uck me....She's called off the gig....When will our torment end?
Well, I guess the point will be proven if they do find a way to wangle a sale to them? What would people think it came out they failed and the Allams they want to find someone else rather than make it work so they can give the home a good owner? On one hand, they have no trust left, but you can't really protest saying please sell us to the shady people. Back to square one I guess.
Allams will be furious, they're now stuck with 6 new players and they'll want to be selling as soon as they can.
Gutted that this has come up but, if they really have failed the FPP test then we should be greatful that the FA have done there job and are protecting the clubs. Seeing lots of things on Twitter where people suggesting that the FA are c***s for failing them, but at the end of the day, that's why the process is there. I'm sure those same people would be first to complain if new owners turned out to be worse than the Allams. As for the Allams having to take the test again. They would still pass! The FPP isn't a test of marketing prowess or an ability to engage fans, it's a check to ensure that that they run their current businesses legally. Apparently another buyer waiting in the Wings (not the restaurant), so hopefully it will still happen. The Allams really have no excuse now to not give Phelan the job. You could say it makes THAT Sitatuon less complicated.
I know that the Allams signed all their paperwork in relation to the deal last week and it was good to go but this appears to be the FA's doing. Now part of me isn't happy that the sale could be off but on the other hand the FPP test has done what is has meant to and on a plus the club has gone through a large amount of house keeping to facilitate the sale. It could mean that the bidder waiting in the wings has a clear run at a take over.
Nothing straight forward supporting "city" but this is taking the piss, does this mean we have to sent the transfer window recruits back, **** sake hope we've kept the receipt's.
It's a massive ball ache, but if this lot have skeletons in the closet, then might be for the best. At least we know the current incumbents and that they want out and we have had a bit of squad strengthening lately. Suppose it could be a few months more until another deal can be closed. As long it's before next transfer window, then essentially nothing will change very much. Who paid off the mortgages and settled the debts though?
It shows what utter ****s the Allams have become that a lot of people would rather have a dodgy Chinese consortium that's failed Fit and Proper than those clowns
I have not seem anywhere that they failed the fappt (hmm nice acrnomn) I have seen that there is another consortium in the wings. It looks to me at this early stage that either it's a bidding war or the Allams are unhappy with the delay of the long fappt process. BTW the money laundering thing was on a dodgy blog. I've not seen it elsewhere. Any food including me can talk rubbish on a blog.
If they have failed the FA test, given the owners football has had previously, it must surely be better to not have them take over. Sort of pisses on the 'good home' idea the Allams were apparently seeking for the past 24 hours, I mean 2 years.
Totally agree. If - big if - they have failed the test, then as bad as the Allams are, then these clearly arent the right people to replace them.
This is good news people. It gives me more time to buy the team myself. Nacho machines at the KC are back on the list!
That's the thing with Chinese takeovers, as soon as one is finished you want another half an hour later.
