surely has to be premier league related as opposed to something else ? the Allams even said goodbye at the last match in so many words and it was at the premier leagues doors to finish all the formalities ?
Burnsy just tweeted that it's apparently not down to City, "it's nothing the Allams have done" and is assuming Fit & Proper test is the issue.
If so then one wonders about AA saying he wanted a safe pair of hands to take over. Surely he investigated them before the FA. I wonder if Ehab has now lost his shadow?
Cant the Allam's retrospectively take the test again, cos they certainly arent fit or proper people to run a football club!
Despite everything it seems like they're better than the putative Chinese owners. Looks like we're staying in the frying pan for now.
I imagine if it is a failed proper persons test, it wont be the end of it; they will try and swap out the problem partner for someone else (unless they all failed). So if that was the reason, to then say it's totally won't happen is jumping the gun - especially as the news is the Chinese put down a deposit. However, at least potentially the Allams have a new enemy that isn't the fans of the club. And obviously we all know by now it's rubbish that comes out of their mouths, but so much for wanting to find a "proper home for the club" if again it is down to failed fit and proper person (unless perhaps the Allams said no themselves) Hope more of the story comes out quickly.
Although I don't want the Allam's to stay, I don't necessarily want someone who has failed the fit and proper persons test either. (Obviously I dont know that is the case for certain)
to be fair there is only so much that the Allams can find out about potential new owners , the FPPT covers a lot more from what little is said about it. That's the reason its there in the first place. I agree that I don't think it will be the end of it , after all Cellino still ended up running Leeds didn't he ?
