He'd never have done that just for the sake of it, but Becchio was bullying our young lads and enjoyed a sly elbow himself. I loved that Ash stepped in and sorted it out. Exactly! Everything he did on the pitch had a purpose. He knew he wasnt the most naturally gifted player to wear the shirt so he simply learned how to win, and no amount of stepovers or tricks for the camera can ever surpass that. The only blot on his legend is the way he chose to leave and if he'd just ignored the short-term gains of Brownie's mental contract offer the number 4 shirt would be retired and he'd have a statue outside the stadium by now.
