Morning, you types. Obvious one for me today and that’s COURTESY CALL (3.10 Worcester). Trained by the forum’s favourite trainer, its idol, its inspiration, its very raison d'etre, Mr Henderson. He hasn’t seen a racecourse for just over 2 years (Courtesy Call not Mr Henderson) but previously this one was very decent on the level winning 5 times and achieving a perch as high as 88. Has also showed himself to have more than a modicum of talent for the old NH sphere winning once from 4 attempts. Given this history, the fact that connections have continued to keep the old boy in training, and who his handler is, the knowledge that Courtesy Call gets into this Worcester heat on 112 is most eye-catching to me and current quotes of 6/1 look far too big. Recommended. Good luck all.
Couple of interesting races to open that Redcar card. In the 1.50, I'm opting for Our Boy John. I also think that Mere Brow could offer some value in the 2.20; LTO it finished 4th to none other than The Wagon Wheel in what looks a better race than this. However, this is a very open contest, so maybe just watch that one after all. I'm opposing the board selection in the Worcester 2.40; always on the lookout for some value, I think The Snappy Poet may just be worth considering. I'm also very, very tempted by Bathos in the 3.30 at Leicester; down to 85, Buick back on board, last time at this mark it stormed a Goodwood race with this jockey, albeit over shorter; there has been money for it, too. You never can tell with Johnston's horses, today could be a good day. Good Luck all.
ELUCIDATION won the 7f maiden at Leicester very nicely. He holds a Derby entry and his dam is a half-sister to Derby winner Kris Kin.
Absolutely chuffed to bits to see "Trendy" winning today. I totally knew that she would eventually come good in the right hands!
Didn't click with me until I saw the result & thought that name rings a bell Delighted for you & Connections
