Well worth a read, and it makes you wonder. http://www.sportskeeda.com/football...ing-details-of-the-indian-rule-at-riverside/3
Yes an interesting read - football has been taken over by some very shady and seedy characters, with the connivance of the people who run the game in this country, who have also lined their pockets by fleecing us all. Sympathy for BRFC fans ? Hardly. As this club knows better than almost all others, it's snakes and ladders. Jack Walker provided a massive ladder for them in the 90s to the extent that they won the PL. Now they've got themselves a snake (or a next of vipers) and it's time to feel the pain. What goes around etc.
The Venky's haven't tried to change the clubs name. They haven't continued with that rebrand despite rejection by the FA. They haven't priced out pensioners who over the years have already earned their stripes, or kids who are the future of the club. The haven't told the clubs supporters they can die, or that they are hooligans and not welcome. They haven't changed the clubs crest. They haven't spent a pot of money supposed to be ringfenced to help their own supporters to afford to travel to extortionately priced away games on every other clubs fans. They haven't kicked fans out of seats they'd held for years for absolutely no apparent reason other than to be ****s. The Venky's aren't spending as much money as Blackburn fans would like, coming up with wild consiparacy theories to excuse their greed in their thirst for champions league football. They can **** off. We can feel sorry for ourselves.
I was told years ago that Blackburn weren't actually funded by Jack Walker. He was just a front for a consortium, a face. I trust the chap who told me this. #ITK
He was just a front for Annie and the notorious Newton & Ridley money laundering consortium. Allegedly. please log in to view this image
TWS win hands down in recent years for **** owners. Way worse than ****ing Blackburn. Does anyone feel sorry for them? Course not. **** em all.
I don't get this attitude adopted by some of you on here. Instead of going on about how much worse our ****ty owners are, and having this '**** 'em' attitude towards the fans of other clubs blighted by ****ty owners, we should be expressing some sympathy. We're all just fans being ****ed over. Even TWS.
conspiracy theory much....personally think it's much much simpler than that, the Venkys bought Blackburn, seemingly unaware that relegation was a possibility, wanted the status symbol of a PL club and the glory that came with it, esp in Pune a city that has a typically higher percentage of 'football fans' than most other major Indian cities. It all went tits up for them with relegation, they now can't be arsed to spend any money, they are more than rich enough to take the hit of Blackburn costing them their investment and that's about that
They were never a well supported team, they just happened to benefit from one of the biggest away ends in the country and a hell of a lot of NW teams visiting.
We got an enormous amount of support from fans of other clubs during the name change campaign, so I'm sympathetic to the fans of other clubs in similar circumstances. Though Leeds ****ty owners are quite funny.
We've had numerous **** owners & people running it, same with Leeds. Blackburn, Blackpool, Charlton, Portsmouth, Darlington even Scarborough are some that I can think of, that have been ****ed over! It's not fair on any fans! This is the beginning of the end for a lot of teams in the lower leagues! When there is this much money in the PL & there are teams just in the Championship getting ****ed over, it's a disgrace! I reckon within 10 years, football will have imploded, only a couple of professional leagues will remain, whether we'll be in there is anyone's guess!
I've heard this before about other foreign owners....how do these thick twats make their money?? It must be blind luck 90% of the time (right place/right time).
To a large degree, the Allams have been lucky, if we had not won the play off's then what they would have got for the club would be less than what they are getting.
