Give it to Phelan. I don't rate O'Neill - plus he'd probably bring that gobshite Roy Keane with him, who I can't abide.
The Chinese would be mad to appoint anyone else right now. The next 3 months look ripe for the picking in terms of points and MP hasn't put a foot wrong yet! I reckon we'll get another 15 points before Dec.
http://talksport.com/football/odds-...ub-ranked-biggest-outsiders-favourites-0?p=19 Joint 11th to win the Prem @ 1000/1. This will blow out to 20th to win the Prem if MP gets sacked by the Chinese
..........until we lose a few or he get's his team selection wrong or makes a bad substitution, forgets to wave when the fans chant his name, doesn't smile enough, gives a poor interview and so on......then the 'experts' will want him sacked as 90% of the posters on here wanted Steve Bruce sacked. In Bruce We Trust. Some of us did.
I would have liked O'Neil had Phelan not had such a good start to the season. Phelan seems switched on and it I reckon we will see a much better brand of football under Phelan than we did under Bruce. Not to mention Phelan is large reason behind the team spirit at the club. I would like Phelan to be given the job and him to be given money to bring in some coaching staff ideally with a high profile assistant like Giggs.
Only one guy should get this job atm ... Mr Phelan he deserves his chance and in my opinion he has turned the players attitude around they want to play, the style is different too long may it continue.
From ESPN: "Hull's prospective new owners have given the green light for Phelan to continue in the role and he is expected to be confirmed as manager on a deal until the end of the season at least." http://www.espn.co.uk/football/hull...to-be-appointed-new-hull-city-manager-sources
I put £20 on us to finish bottom and £10 on Phelan to get the job. Wish I'd done it the other way around.
Just a question BCC do you think we will finish bottom? or do you see us staying up. No comeback just wondered? Personaly I think we will scrape safe. I know it is far to early but I have optimism about this season. We all know that can be ripped out of us as quick as it came.
Think this next month will decide the shape of the season, if we get zero points we'll be there or thereabouts, if we win on Saturday I'll feel 50/50 about staying up. For context, I put this bet on us finishing bottom as rumours broke about Bruce leaving and I wanted the best odds I could get.
