It'll be interesting to see how he fits in. He seems the perfect foil for Hernandez. But do we want one? That means playing either 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 - either of which would mean leaving out other good players. For the time being I can't see any justification for dropping anyone to start him. You could our Abel on the wing but I can't see that that'd suit him. As someone else said, the whole point of Abel is getting on the end of things in the box. What would he contribute out wide?
Think Mbokani will start against Burnley tbh with Abel on the bench due to his travels .. thereafter I guess it depends on who we play as to whether we go with 1 or both up front
I think Hernandez will start. He started after International breaks most weeks last year, and scored in a few, such as against Sheffield Wednesday.
Depends how long the new players get in training. Will be hard to change a winning team unless there has been time to have a look at options. More likely bench roles?
Don't you remember all the discussions last time in the pl about Abel being more of a left sided forward. Dunno why people aren't grasping this. I said if we keep the same system, then you'd drop dio and play Abel there and mbokani down the middle. It doesn't mean Abel as a wide man can't ever get in the box. He's there to tie up their rb, as dio has done. Dio has also scored goals from that position.
Diomande has done a lot of committed defensive work this season. I'd want to be sure that Hernandez would commit the same effort when we haven't got the ball.
Why is this restricted to people from overseas ? I have a very simple English name but 50% of people still say it wrong I don't find it disrespectful I just think how stupid they are.
Other PL teams play their South American players after International Breaks, particularly players who don't play any minutes.
