I like him. Bit caught up with the fame of being a PL footballer, with the app and stuff, but a nice guy and we could do a lot worse. Give him this season to sort out his backing off and buy someone like Clyne in the hope the genuine competition will make him up his game a bit (The Jonas Effect). His performances against Arsenal (away) and the 5-1 showed what a cracking player he could be if we give him time.

Is it, I was unsure... either way it looks tremendous I will certainly be having a go on it when I get the chance, there is plenty of hours in the day to kill on such a fabulous looking game.

I'd be happy with him at rb if he learnt not to back off all the time. That said I don't think he has great ability, just adequate.

If he doesn't learn after this season, it's new rb time imo.

He has all the right attributes to be an excellent RB. I thought he was often exposed last year when Barton drifted infield which didn't help. But he does my head in when backing off.

Being brutally honest, he is not a natural footballer for me and can be agricultural at times. I like his attitude though. Happy with him for next year, you can't strengthen every area in one go. I think he can do a job for now. Obviously if we want to progress at some stage, he'll need to either improve or be replaced.

I don't think he has 'great' ability, but I'm happy with him at RB for the season. I do think we should bring in competition though, Tavernier looks ok from what I've seen but Ryan Taylor is ****e at RB and Perch is ****e full stop.

I thought the opposite to be honest. I thought Joey's work rate ensured he wasn't overly exposed. Indeed Routledge was the same (even if was useles going forward!)

Good lad and a team player but he is a pretty average full back and the current weak link in our defence. Eventually we need to find a better RB and use him as cover. But I think we have bigger priorities this season so we will have to stick with him and hope that he progresses.

I think Simpson has potential, but I don't think he links up well with Barton. Barton doesn't exactly have a lot of pace, so when Simpson commits to the attack, it always seems as if he is looking backwards to see if the right is exposed. With Jose, he knows that Jonas is there to cover him on the left. It will be interesting to see if Simpson's game changes if Jonas moves to the right. If you look at the few games when Jonas wasn't in, Jose did not look as comfortable.

Happy with Simmo as the RB next year. Other areas more important to strengthen, he's as good a right back as any for a mid table team.
