I created one a while back called 'Summer Dismantal 2016' but nobody wanted to make it a sticky.

Well at least the club have admitted thier mistakes and are looking to correct it. Just hope it's not too late.

Also in terms of sustainability, the development facilities in landore have annual operational costs of 6 million, good luck financing that if we get relegated and don't bounce back up within the first two seasons.

No one here is expecting us to just drop £30 million on a player and are happy with getting Baston for £15 million. What has annoyed me is that we could have got a few decent loan signings in to strengthen our squad and to dropping £5 million on a young unproven defender because they still have nightmares from missing out on Stones.

I have just read that Swan, what I don't understand is don't these people realise that without the PL none of their other plans really matter or work, Yet they have left us with a completely understrength squad up until January.

That's the risk they've created for themselves. Who knows we maybe strong enough to keep our heads above water but they've taken a bit of a gamble. The warning signs were there last season and in the last two games.

That is exactly right. Without premiership football we will just be another lower league club again and everything we have achieved will soon be forgotten. All our top players will bail out and any extension will be a white elephant except for pop concerts.......Every club including the ones who came up have done better than us in the transfer market imo and looking at our first 3 games then it dont give anyone any confidence at all........I hope to god that this break has ironed out the negative side to our game or it will be a long season.....

Are they talking about fan base which is based on geographical and population area or attendances because if it's area I don't think we would be 18th

We have a possible huge fan base that could fill a 30k stadium every home game but for that to happen we would have to stay in the premiership.

You sound like them lot up the road , possibly , potential , huge etc, :cheesy: you maybe right but I'd be more conservative and say 25,000 would be adequate .

I agree. 25,000 would be the sensible approach. If we are then still in the PL then increase to 30,000 etc.

We wont get 25 k in the championship valley...we would average 15k on good days if we are lucky. The premiership is a must for us where we can accommodate another 10k easily. our fan base stretches from Bridgend down to Pembroke dock up to Aberystwyth ......there are swans fans wearing swans shirts all around them places and in between...

Maybe we should get rid of Cyril and employ this mascot.

The negativity surrounding the club is just to overwhelming for me and will only post once in a blue moon on here any more .
Our sixth season in the Premier , another money making season in the transfer market , and all most can do is complain about the " Underspending " . The same " Underspending " and financial conscience that keeps us out of the hole financially .
Everyone wants to change that once the " Americans" took over and want them to be spendaholics , merely for the sake of it .
Anyways , all the best to my fellow Swan fans , I'll pop in here and there for a visit but after watching the " Meltdown " toward the club on transfer finance , I best read and hold my tongue from here

There is negativity for a reason. The fans care less about making money on a player (even though it's great when we do) but they want to see some talent brought in. It's not an unreasonable expectation, bearing in mind the fact we have so-called 'investors' (I actually think they are speculators but time will tell), the record, eye-watering TV money and the loss of Williams and Ayew - two very influential players for us last season.

Couple that with our bloody awful displays on the pitch thus far - how anyone can simply ignore that I don't know - then it's perfectly understandable that the fans are upset right now. It's very easy to imply that fans who are critical are not getting behind the team but we do that every week anyway and we all want the Club to succeed but it doesn't remove the real concerns the fans have as to where we are headed and the signs aren't good.

Maybe the break will reset the way we've started and Guidolin can put things right, particularly at the back because we look very, very frail. Baston has talent and we can still do well this season if it comes together. I'm sure that's what we're all hoping for.

    Take a few weeks/months off,roof.

Getting all worked up about the different opinions you encounter on this forum is not good for your health.

At the end of the day, we are just talking about football, and to quote the great Humphrey Bogart, in Casablanca. " it ain't worth a hill of beans".

Actually, it ain't worth a can of beans, when compared to your health. <laugh>

Roof don't worry about it mate, we have had loads of disagreements, but do you know what, that is what makes football and our club great. We cant all agree all the time. Whether I agree with you or not, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it whether I agree or not.
