I don't know, I kind of like Assou Ekotto's honesty. Probably just saying what the rest aren't. Haha. That quote is hilarious.

I've heard rumours that he's of the opinion that football is just a job and he doesnt care for the sport at all.

Elokobi is built like a tank but he is absolutely ****. Some may say Assou Ekotto is a money grabbing mercernary but at least he is honest. There are lots of players who will have attitude like that but won't have the balls to come out and admit it.

I love the quote, sort of has that humour you get when a foreign player is ranting in English. Might stick it in my signature.

He said a while ago he plays football because it's his job and he's good at it, not because he enjoys it.

Like Warm Pouch said though, at least he's honest about it.

I'd be happy with him as a replacement for Jose, he's not great but he'd be more than good enough for us, and there doesn't seem to be a great choice of left-backs for us.

What about Insua? We should ask for him as part of the Enrique deal IMO.

I'd take him. I know he had rough time when first here but from what I saw he looked a good footballer. 10m + Insua

I find Assou-Ekottou's honesty quite refreshing personally. At least he has the balls to say it, rather than spouting ****e about loving the club and then leaving at the first sign of a pay rise.

Anyway, just beacause you're in it for the money doesn't mean you wont put the effort in. He might not be passionate about football but he's still professional so will try his best every game.
