What's SBC's mate Ponsonby doing with former decent hurdle Caracci Apache? Entered in a 14 furlong maiden tomorrow at Haydock. 20/1 on offer which suggests whatever the plan tomorrow is not the day.

Some cracking pedigrees on show today, stating with the obvious SWISS STORM in the 2.30 at Haydock.

The fillies maiden at Salisbury on this day is always a good race and as usually happens has divided. Division 1 sees the debut of SECRET SOUL a half-sister to Oaks second Secret Gesture and Sir Isaac Newton. Division 2 sees some nice types including ARGENTERIE, from a good Kirsten Rausing family, who was third on debut at 66-1 and should step up here.

Hi Bob, I'm a bit late to the party but congratulations on the forthcoming birth of your baby. I wish you and Mrs Boston all the best. While I'm here, you are in the wine trade, I've been enjoying a nice Sancerre 2014 grande cry at a very reasonable price here in France.
    Cheers.

Going against you here Bob, can't seem to catch Johnston right lately. Seems to be going through a quiet spell, I've backed many of his and not had many winners which is unusual. Don't think he even had a winner at York the other week. Im going for IMPORTANT MESSAGE as I'm sure he was talked about last season but only won the once. If he has improved then he should go close.

Well spotted. Hadn’t even noticed the appearance of the forum’s 2nd favourite owners charge. Caracci Apache showed absolutely nothing on his Flat debut but then again Eve Johnson Houghton is no Mr Henderson for whom the horse was a Grade 2 winner over timber. On that evidence the horse has undoubted ability but given that he has now drifted to 33’s you would have to suspect he’s out for a quiet few runs in order to secure a nice handicap mark.

Really want to bet on Swiss Storm but those odds are way too short so...

    Crowley Double/Double 5/1

Also a single on Ray Donovan 9/4 win (Just started season 4, excellent show)

Good job you didn't watch 'Goldfinger' last night otherwise you'd be doubling this one with a debutante at Salisbury!

Cymro in that 4 30 at hay dock 12/1 -back at a more suitable level and a galloping track can see this well overpriced

Senrima 8 40 Chelmsford 14/1 - as above ,way too big on two year old form-Meehan has been white hot recently and this could rub off on this horse.....

Apart from IMPORTANT MESSAGE i will have a small wager on COASTAL CYCLONE in the second race at Haydock. Backed him on Saturday for it to be pulled out. I also think many favs will oblige at Salisbury today.

AP McCoy summed it up quite well in an interview in the Guardian:

“It’s going to be a hard thing for them to keep everyone happy. One thing they need to cater for is the older audience. I’m not sure about just bringing in a lot of young people, because racing has an older audience."

    JB: "Who are you?"
PG: "My name is Pussy Galore"
    JB: "I must be dreaming."

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

(They really don't - I thought Spectre was crap)

Thanks very much. We had the second meeting with the midwife yesterday and the wife passed out after giving a vial of blood so hoping she gets more used to that over the next few months.

Can you send me a photo Florida? I'm no expert on French wine - prefer New World. so always on the look out for a recommendation.
