My sentiments exactly. I'd still be RED if we were playing in the Blue Square North. However, there's nothing wrong with applauding fans of other teams that have the same principles

 

I will hate Jose's guts if he joins Liverpool.

 

This might be a stupid question...

Why?

 

In fairness, he said he wanted to leave to play CL football. And while it's more likely at Liverpool, you dont have it either. So it would still be a shame to have him lie to us, when just a year ago he was saying he wanted to end his career at NUFC.

 

Ah right. I can see why some of you might not be too happy with him.

What would you prefer though? Getting £7M for him now and he goes to a club (Liverpool) who don't have Champions League this season or Liverpool get a Champions League place this coming season and you lose him for nothing?

 

I'd rather hold onto him to be honest because:

1. He's worth a lot more than £7m anyway
2. The £7m will just be used to pay off the clubs debts to Ashley and not re-invested in the club
3. Don't like Liverpool much
4. He should be playing for the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea etc. He's that good.
5. We could really use him this season

 

Oh I'd let him go, no sense in keeping an unhappy player. I am a bit disappointed though because no offence, but he could play for a CL team now. He was even linked with Barca and I honestly think he could play for them.

 

Good player, a position Liverpool desperately need to fill.

£7m is more than enough for someone with 1 year left on his contract and he can sign a pre-contract in January for £0m.

If he was good enough to play for Barcalona then why haven't they made an offer? Same can be said for Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, etc....
Especially at £7m which is nothing to those teams.

 

He hasn't lied to us at all Smudger. He's never said anything at all about leaving except that he dislikes the board and lies they've told him blah blah on Twitter. He has had no comments attributed to him. Pardew said he thinks he will leave because he wants CL/European football (I'm not sure which). He didn't say he wanted it next season either. But we are not going to be playing it in the next 10 years. Basically Jose wants to leave for a more progressive club who will be challenging to be in Europe and generally at the other end of the table.

Chris - I think 5 goals 1 Hat trick is not Liverpools greatest fan. I've never asked why but he defo dislikes you guys! Haha

 

I don't get why people are so resentful of him joining Liverpool. They have far better prospects than we have and, because of how poor Arsenal are, will probably grab that 4th spot by May.
