You do realise the information used on Football Manager is corollated by real life scouts and not just randomly accrued information. The Football Manager database can be bought separately without the game and pretty much every Football team in the world uses it. They use it to identify targets and then send send scouts to scout them.
They believe there own hype and have gone too far. Yellow dress code, total-ometer, wetting themselves! 5 live have much better coverage - balanced opinions on what clubs need etc
Clearly we haven't used it! Otherwise it would have identified that taking a trip to watch Sagbo, Ghilas, Altidore, Proschwitz et al was all a complete waste of time.
Altidore was a player of great potential on earlier FM editions. Just one of those where potential as a teenager failed to see him develop. On paper he had it all, just in reality he had no football brain and didn't use his power the the way he should have
Will be extremely disappointed if we don't sign an attacking mid, we really lack one at the moment. Henrikesen looked exciting so hopefully the dutch press are better informed than the uk. Striker, winger and RB also needed. I think I'll be disappointed by the end of the day. Good signings so far but just not enough.
There are loads of players the FM databases will predict to have great potential and they fizzle out. Anyone remember Freddy Adu? It should never be used to just gouge a player's abilities straight up, it should be used as a stepping stone at which you then actually go and scout the player yourself.
Maybe we've signed Mason to play that position? He's played the position of Dele Alli and might explain why we're looking at Dale Stephens still.
Lee Philpott was always ****ing brilliant on the older CMs, I got him playing for England. Case closed.
