Meire wants to sail everything that is not nailed down I am surprised she hasn't got Solly a pair of bionic knees this week before selling him Personally I think Fox is sh!te, but why sell both him and T H-D? It just smacks of what it is - looting
£100 bet that he'll blame the fans, other clubs not adhering to rules, and media for interfering and shaming him in a bad light when he never did anything wrong! That's when he sells.
Selling a couple of players won't get any of his money back, he bought the club for around £20mil didn't he? He won't get anything near that in this division. I think he is trying to minimise operating losses and is banking on promotion with a tiny squad. Like it or not, Duchatelet isn't making money out of Charlton, he's probably sunk in about £40mil, he's getting none of that back whilst we are in this division and he has to continue funding losses, he can minimse them sure, but unless he finds £7-8mil worth of talent every year to sell, he's going to fail at that too. Even if we do go up, he'll never get his "interest" back, there's no way someone will pay £50mil for Charlton in the Championship, let alone League One.
My SOURCE on CHARLTON LIFE REDHENRY says that Liam Walsh is incoming. That is from my SOURCE REDHENRY on CHARLTON LIFE. That is just a rumour,I have no way of knowing whether it is correct or not.So don't blame me if it doesn't happen. Is that alright with you Royston and Don? Did I mention it was from REDHENRY on CHARLTON LIFE.
Cheers for the info Dick NOT606 is the ONLY Charlton site I frequent. I don't have the time, inclination or stomach to wade through all the crap on the other sites. Therefore, I am happy to read the snippets of relevant information that you and some of the other lads take from other sites and post on here. Keep it up
He's not a bad player, would be nice to have more than just one out and out winger. Still, Duchatelet doesn't believe in squads so who knows.
When RD took over he wasn't banking on the financial fair play to be scrapped pretty much from the off, as confirmed by KM. At that time, with a sensible approach, being a part of the network could have huge potentials for CAFC in regards to having Championship quality players (like Buyens) at little to no cost put on the club as RD could off set the wages from his Standard Liege books (the financial rewards in England being much higher than Belgium). However they totally underestimated the quality in the January where RD purchased the club, and it was only after the purchase did it look like FFP was to have wholesale changes. Why I think thats significant is then RD had to change his business model. They made it very clear he wouldn't try and go head to head with some of the other clubs as he didn't want that risk falling on CAFC. In truth, he never planned to spend such money nor did he think he would need to. So 3 years later, and a division down, the thought of selling will now have entered his mind whether KM or he admit as much. You've covered the losses above, and he doesn't appear to be putting the readies up to ''guarantee'' promotion, nor displaying a desire to win the division. He's starting to sell the assets. The club should still sell for circa £20million regardless of the first team. If Lookman goes for £4mil then that's near £10millon made this summer alone, and gets him much nearer to the reported £40mil that he wants. After Lookman, are the assets there to keep him hanging around? We have Konsa who looked decent, but not sure we have anyone on the books that will command £2mil up in the next couple of years. I imagine RD will know that already.
I would be happy with him and Holmes on the wing. Thompson as well as him would do a lot to ease my fears for central midfield as not convinced Crofts and Foley have the legs to compete.
