There is weeding out the deadwood and then there is taking the chainsaw to most of the copse. We will be so short of 1st team bodies with a squad JK has shown he can break . I have a dreadful sense of foreboding which can only be eased if some fresh meat arrives by the deadline

Sakho must seem to Klopp - somebody with his personality and beliefs (don't forget about his religious beliefs which he does bring up in interviews) - kind of a chaotic and disorderly kinda guy. I've never met him or seen his house or office but I Imagine Klopp is somebody who likes order, method and structure

January transfer window is not the best time to sign good players.

yes you are right. cull it down and if whats left aint up to it at the top of the table replace them.

I do think we are a little light at full back though as a high intensity role up and down the pitch all day.

there is a case here of fear of the unknown preventing us fans from doing what klopp has no fear of. If we say but this or that might happen we may never take action. Klopp is just cleaning house.

    Yup...

I know the fear is if people break down but that's a weakness as well. "Always getting injured or can only play 60 minutes at your best"? Then you are no use to Klopp which is no use to LFC.
Not saying the odd injury or a bad luck serious injury...I think you know what I mean cough cough..."oooh boss me hips a bit sore" 2 weeks later "hey boss I'm fully fit and available for selection after two light training weeks...why aren't you playing me?".....

We are all jaded be it the Rodgers 3 years of longer but it's a another 3 year project again ....

i'm sorry but going into the season with Lovren , Matip & Klavan as the only 3 CB's and no experienced back up FB's (actually not even 2 first 11 FB's !) is a risk too far. No wonder Lucas is still with us.

All I can say is this sakho thing doesn't SEEM on the outside to relate all the way back to the drug scandal. We gave him a new shirt number (3) in the summer at his request so I can only assume this has related to the condition of the player when he return to preseason stringing and the attitude he took in camp and getting fit. He was sent home and upon the clubs arrival home following him there doesn't seem to have been any improvement.

    After that... well....

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has turned down moves to West Brom and Stoke City after being told he can leave on loan.
The 26-year-old France defender is free to resume his career after a doping case against him was dismissed by Uefa.
Sakho also was sent home from the club's pre-season tour of the USA following allegations of indiscipline.
He has been told that he is not currently part of Liverpool's first-team plans by manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are hopeful Sakho will find a club before Wednesday's transfer deadline as it has been made clear he will have to move to get games.

I remember Rogers and clint dempsey/ andy carroll issue.. we got left short that season badly and bought coutinho and sturridge in january.

I feel we will be short at the back here... I'm trying to think which kid is going to come in here form the u23s and really... Conor Masterson will be 18? this month.. thats really it at CB. We loanded lloyd jones out. jordan williams is a cm and only back from long injury. Brewitt is 19?

i can see us with lucas in at CB here.

I can not understand why a player will decide to end his own career because of his own indiscretion. Failing the drug test is bad enough. What about turning up late in US?, that
was the straw that broke the camel's back.

    echo

"Here’s a quote from Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola regarding talks between Liverpool and Nice over a move for the striker.

There’s no agreement between the clubs and no medical today.

So that’s what is happening now. But that doesn’t mean it’ll be the same later..."

they must us want to pay them to take him and more than double his wages to them each week...

Failing the test was not really his fault it seems.

But he did play that prank on Klopp.
