Apart from being a paid sick note, I actually think he is so overrated whenever he gets on the field.
If we had a chance of taking him I'd say get him asap. He is a great player and would undoubtedly improve us if he stays fit. It's a no brainer for me.
For the record, I think he's way above our level but made of glass. There'd be also be zero chance of us getting him on a permanent if he did impress and the short terms costs would be astronomical so I'd prefer one of the players we've been linked to on permanents. Iborra, Mason, M'Vila. All of whom are also above our level.
I'll get one of the mods to close the thread then. Make sure you give your opinion on all the other threads on the board so the mods can close them too.
Agreed on both counts, he's a player that everyone keeps on saying is a major talent and a great player but I've yet to see him have an outstanding game. He's also way, way too fragile to take a precious loan spot.
The best game I've seen Jack Wilshere, play in, was against us at the SOL when he was a 17 year old playing on loan, at Bolton. We had a decent team then, but he really shone that game and he definitely made me sit up and take notice. I think we battered them 4-0, as well. Undoubtedly he would be next level, for us. Unfortunately, he would also be unavailable about 75% of the time. Big no, from me.
That's it summed up- if he came here on loan he'd be excellent playing silky football then go back down south leaving us short again. Not sure I want this scenario again
