Looks better on the replay than it did in real life! Didn't realise quite just how far out he was!

JET (in the 2nd half), played with a lot of energy. Dack, coming on as sub, made a big difference. He brought other players into the game with his passing - and suddenly, going forward, we had ideas - and were worthy winners.
I was mystified with Dack's exclusion from the starting line-up. I speculated that a deal had been done, and that he was being wrapped in cotton wool. We actually started well - and for 15 minutes controlled the play - but lacked penetration in the penalty area. Then Shrewsbury got one attack, and a well struck shot - and we went to pieces.
If it wasn't for the keeper, we definitely would have gone in at half time more than 0-2 down.
Bradley Dack made a collosal difference in the second half. His range of passes destroyed Shrewsbury - and created a lot of room for our other players - and I wasn't surprised that, once we had got one goal back, that we went on to win.
I appreciate that injuries may force JED's team selection - but the omission of your best player was a mystery. We played with 3 central defenders. This may accomodate 5 in midfield - but can expose the last line of defence when the ball gets through - and Ehmer isn't good enough to cover RB, nor Oshilaja at LB - where Konchesky ( nice forward runs ), isn't quick enough to get back and cover ----- so, I hope that our injured players return soon.
A few words about the referee - he was consistent ! inasmuch that Mr.Deadman must be related to Keith Stroud - refuses to give anything to Gillingham. He waved away a possible penalty shout in the first half - and a DEFINITE penalty late in the game when Osadebe was hacked down.

His Goals at Southend, and both goals yesterday do show that he has the ability. He has frustrates some of our fans with an apparent lack of work rate. This is where the manager must do his job - and shove jet rockets up certain orifices.... JET came to us with a 'lazy' reputation - I will not accept less than 100% - and nor should our manger--- however, to be a little bit fairer to JET - he does need to have the correct service - which he got from Dack. Can we dare to hope to keep Dack until January ? I am sure that O'hara can fill any absence that will exist once Dack is gone.
I will stick my neck out - and say that JET will get us 20 goals ( or / and more ), this season.... fingers crossed that he doesn't get injured.............. I hear that Gills have applied for planning permission for an extension to the treatment room !!

Read on the Shrewsbury forum that they double marked JET until Dack came on, then when Dack came on they had to release a man off JET to try and nullify Dack, which gave JET the room to move! They also thought we were an average team but in Dack and JET had 2 special players.

I never thought I'd say this, (considering that my favourite gills teams have always been ones that, whilst not technically brilliant, have always played with a lot of heart, passion and energy) but I think I might accept JET appearing to be a bit lazy if he continues to score goals a) at the rate he is and b) that win us matches. Look at Dimitar Berbatov at Man United, for example.

Maybe he only seems lazy, but perhaps knows his limitations and knows what is and isn't worth running for?
