When I heard that Ash was being sought by other Clubs, I thought, here we go again, every transfer window the same old bullshit, and he gets a new contract.
I was convinced it was all more talk, and the inevitable pay rise.
He had chances to go to bigger and better places than Everton in previous windows.
I was shocked, well still am, that he has gone.
So, you may well have a point re not getting the full story, but he's gone now, so I won't waste any time trying to work it out.

    A) Is it my imagination, or do Swans' transfer dealings, not counting the International clearance fiasco, seem to take a lot longer than that of other Clubs?

    B) Blocking Williams' move would have resulted in one very unhappy player
, and that would have been counterproductive, I think.[/QUOTE]

Should have blocked the move until we had an experienced replacement brought in. Looking at this window, we seem to sell players without a clue as how to replace them and who with.

I thought that we told Ayew he couldn't go to West Ham until Borja was "certain"......

Ash was very close to going to Arsenal when they came calling. If he had stayed this season he probably wouldn't have moved in the future. He got an offer from Everton he wanted to go as it was his last chance so he went - end of!

I don't know how reliable anything coming out of any football Club is, particularly regarding players', and their possible transfers.

Jenkins would sell his own mother if he thought he would make a profit...

Jenkins seen exiting Swansea' now defunct BHS carrying two extra large manikins under his arms.
They were two for a pound in the closing down sale.
It seems we could have two new central defenders for the next game. <laugh>

Fair point - but it was reported widely. Nevertheless, we don't know for sure.

I don't think anyone can solely blame Amat for the vardy goal as it's the teams fault because they were too high and should have been more patient going forward. The goal was outstanding TBH, from the drinkwater pass to vardy's unstoppable pace and finishing.

IMO what was needed in this game was to see out the first 65 mins out by sitting deep and frustrating Leicester just as Hull did on the opening game. Now maybe this is something that we're not good at therefore, the management felt that we needed to attack but we're not good enough to break them down either.

Leicester are champions something we shouldn't forget. But I've got to be honest, we were worryingly poor on the day. But I feel that some people have got to take the Hull game into context also. The only team that has managed to beat them is a decent United team that only just scrapped a victory in injury time. Most likely because Hull is lacking in depth and can't make virtually any substitutions.

Hull done exactly what teams need to do against Leicester and we should have emulated what they had done. (And done to us) Sit deep, stay organised and waited until they become frustrated. Then attack when they run out of ideas. Leicester are at their weakest when they have possession for long periods because they don't have the players to break down good defences when they sit deep. That's why last season they usually had very low possession statistics but still won the league.

IMO the important games that we need to win are games against; Palace, WBA, Sunderland, Bournemouth, Watford, Middlesbrough, Hull and Burnley. If we can at least get 3/4 with a few 6 pointers from these games then we stand a good chance.

    If we can do something like this;

    Palace 4
    WBA 3
    Sunderland 6
    Bournemouth 6
    Watford 4
    Middlesbrough 3
    Hull 3
    Burnley 6

Then, that's 35 points and should see us safe with a few shock wins, grinded out draws and just a little bit of luck against the rest of the league.

What we need to do is make the liberty a fortress once more. Because it hasn't been one since laudrup's second season.

If there is one thing I respect about Jenkins , is he won't hold back somebody affiliated with the club. if they have played a big part of Swansea success up to that point

A chairman usually owns the club not always but in a lot of cases,,, Jenkins with us should be a figure head who runs the club on a daily basis and attends premiership meetings on behalf of the club in which he reports back to the owners and boardroom staff.........All Jenkins is is an employee that can be replaced at any time by the owners and i hope soon the yanks will replace him and he can return to the boardroom as a minor shareholder. We need someone new to do the chairman's job to give us a fresh input and then we need someone who has the expertise at being the head of recruitment and then we need an experienced manager who can actually manage the playing side and have full control and a good relationship with the head of recruitment and the owners...

I know this will never happen but it's my wish for the future, i would love my wish to come true....

Funny comments those , he did play in England with the exception of our home games , he lived on the Gower and why would he think he would get a regular start for us , it seems no one knows except the Club as it should be .

As I said roof, we have a team good enough fro more than survival, my worry is that we don't have a manager to match. Wish I had your optimism though, but your right, only 3 games so what worries me Roof is that it may be only 3 games in but in those 3 games we've played the worst for years <ok>

I am worried , I've worried for the past 5 years and 1 month in a league I never thought would last more than a season . But as tIme has passed , I just worry less . It will take time for all our strikers to gel , being the are all new .It will take time for the " Ayew " style of team play fades .It will take time for the " New " defence dice throw to settle.
My biggest worry these days is our shedule till Halloween , the last time such a harsh schedule was faced was Laudrups final games over the Christmas games a few seasons back ......my point being , Huw does like an easy out .
