Minor point .. but hendrick never played in the first leg .. when he did play second leg he controlled the midfield
I was on about Blackman, who Duffens briefs was advocating us signing- not Hendrick....Mason or Hendrick would be an upgrade on Meyler so would be happy with either, though Will Hughes is Derby's best player imo. Please not Blackman though, you're having a laugh
Sounds as if Blackman needs to move on from derby and prove himself. I think he'll come good somewhere, but probably not at City
Blackman has been piss poor since joining Derby. Lived there for a while and still have a few contacts - they think he's nowhere near up to the job. At first he was played out wide and had no impact. The fans moaned about not playing him through the middle and that he needed an opportunity. He was then given this chance and did nothing there either. If another Champ club bid for him, they'd drive him there let alone a club who are aiming to survive in the top division
I doubt McGregor will stay If Marshall comes. It's hard to imagine him being happy on the bench with his Scotland rival in goal.
Arrogance is one thing, passion is another. I can't remember where I read it, but one of the City players said that MacGregor was the angriest player at the club and Jak the second... He'll do for me as our number 1
If both parties agree with the valuations yes - which would certainly not be impossible given they've agreed the terms determining the final price at the point of takeover. I would imagine the valuation mechanism for potential incomings to be broadly similar to that used to assess existing asset values.
Signed for small money as 3rd choice championship gk, at the end of a window IIRC when we'd not managed to get anyone else in of note. We also envisaged greegsy to be no1 for the foreseeable. We now find ourselves playing at a higher level with Alan in his mid 30s and an unfortunate career threatening injury. Back surgery for a 34 year old 'keeper must be similar to knee surgery for an ageing striker - touch and go. Hopefully he'll recover but no guarantees and unlikely he'll be fully fit for most of this season. We need 2 or 3 first team keepers. I suspect much will depend on greegsy's recovery as to the pecking order next year. Clearly Marshall will come in with expectations of playing the majority of the season but think he's recovering from a relatively straightforward injury himself at the moment so jak isn't in immediate danger. It will be jak and marshall competing to start games throughout this year though. I know mannion was signed but he hadn't even made his senior debut for Wimbledon and is very much a development prospect.
completely agree, I think Jak will be told "your no 1 at he moment, up to you to keep it". Can see Mannion going on loan in January and depending what league we are in next season either been given a season loan in 1st/championship if we stay up, or third choice if relegated.
So were looking at the Hendricks and Masons of this world?? I hope we can find a Tanqueray and a Bombay Sapphire too. I'll be a very happy man.
Until he meets Ehab, like the rest of us will come to the conclusion he is a complete ****wit. At that point he'll decide his future remains at AZ.
We could put a cheeky bid in for a British Bulldog of a player. That would be a real tonic. I'd also give a shout out for Fenimore, currently playing in the US for Cooperstown Distillery. He's got a kick like a startled mule. I think we should take a gamble on that Scottish small batch player Caorunn. He's crisp and a bit fruity and signing him would be very refreshing.
Very highly rated- lots of 'He's too good for Hull City' bleating going on. Comparisons made to a Frank Lampard type larker....very good scouting report done by Sky a couple of years ago, but he has apparently come on a fair bit since then... http://www.skysports.com/football/news/15198/8076102/sky-sports-scout-markus-henriksen
