Well there's a lot of pettifogging going on on numerous threads on this forum... are you sure its not illegal..?...
The united fans who I talked about been in north stand just walked up to a bunch of stewards said they had got the tickets off the internet thinking they had tickets for the away end and had been threatened by some city youth . They hadn't. The stewards looked at each offer had a little conversation and took them to the away stand and let in with 15 min to kick off . Told me it's the friendliest ground they have ever been too and if we stay up will definitely be back. He even got a selfie with his back to the pitch to show he was in the away end . He told me they have tried the same scam all over following man u and it's only the second time it's worked first time was Wigan a few years ago .
Couldnt spot any Man U fans stood near to me high in n5 besides those in the away end. Plenty coming out of the west stand when walking past after game.. I would go in the away end at an away game if need be. But you should never wear team colours when doing so and those who do that should slung out....just.keep quiet as well....theres right ways and wrong ways. I would never take the juniors in an away end.
The stewards are more likely to throw the city fans complaing out city man As happened v leeds last season
The mistake we all make on here is thinking that the stewards/police understand and care how a football crowd works. They don't. At most grounds they do, at ours they seem genuinely clueless as to who is who and what is what. As you say, petty rules are enforced 'Get your feet off that seat please' but pitch invaders ? Nah, too difficult.
I would have been difficult to prove it, they weren't in colours, had Hull accent, but listening to them talking it was obvious who they were there to watch.
Away fans in the home areas is one thing , but actually wearing team colours and been allowed to stay there is ridiculous
You wouldn't do. N5 is sold out to pass holders (or whatever you're called nowadays) so there are no match day tickets for sale in there
Imagine role reversal & City at Man U. 1) City in their stands obviously supporting City - turfed out of the ground. 2) City in their stands in colours supporting City - turfed out of the ground. 3) City in their stands, with hidden colours and sitting on their hands* - turfed out of the ground. *Everyone knows who the away fans are when they don't join in the ****athon as 'United' take to the pitch. 4) City kicking advertising hoarding down and running on the pitch - manhandled to the floor and turfed out of the ground. 5) City on the pitch almost in the centre circle celebrating with Hernandez for scoring his 3rd at the Stretford End as City win 3 - 2 - again manhandled to the floor, given a fair old kicking, chucked out of the ground into the welcoming arms of GMP. Funny how stewards at every away ground I go to interpret FA Ground Regulation number 18 differently to Citys. Blah blah blah 'may be removed from the ground'. Citys stewards roll out the red carpet and place their fluorescent jackets on the floor for away fans to walk on. You're on the pitch? Well after you sir. Meanwhile a 6 year old in the home end throws a 1904 flag back to one of those lassies with false legs, and is held in a stranglehold by 6 stewards, kicked to ****, lobbed out and banned from all grounds in the country, until they're 97 years old. You couldn't make it up. (By the way you'll be pleased to know that no Manchester fans were hurt, or arrested, during the typing of this post)
Which reminds me of a night game years ago at Boothferry against Stockport. One of their lot got on to the pitch from North Stand, completely bollocko. Ran right out to North Stand penalty area arc and back again. Knob flapping about all over the place, gently ushering him back into the stand. At least the stewards are consistent.
Probably the 2 dicks who ran to the front celebrating near the away dugout . Steward grab one and the other pushed him over , he was then robustly invited to leave . Plenty of our lads and lasses gave him a verbal lashing as he was dragged to the corner . As OLM has said , hopefully was given a good going over .
Never spotted away fans in E5 And as dennis pointed out E5 sold out to city fans Though theres was plenty of empty.seats v leicester in N5
