Nice easy(ish) run of fixtures in august for Utd, better to wait until the season gets into full swing before claiming the title trebs.

Rashford is an excellent player and its no surprise that he's the only one of Utd's new batch of youth players to not get ****ed off or loaned out by Maureen, Utd's proud tradition of bringing youth through the ranks ended when LVG vacated the managers office at OT.

Utd game was very similar to our game against Burnley, only difference was they managed to get one of their attempts in the net. The differences between the top 6 teams this year will be down to the tight games when the opposition just defend and have the odd breakaway attempt. We need to learn to break faster, we tend to slow it down to much in midfield with the likes of Hendo and Wiji passing sideways most of the time.

 

Also United didn't concede two goals.

 

It has always been like that even in the previous years. It is about consistency and grinding out results against stubborn defending.

There was more difference between our game and Utd's if we are honest. We had vastly more possession than Utd. Yet we were more ponderous and less likely to score and ran out of ideas against a massed defence. You felt that Utd were going to get a goal at any time especially when they put in their subs.

Our defence was vulnerable to counter attacks and we conceded 2 goals. Watching the Utd match, at no time did I think that Hull will steal a goal.

Our attack and defence are not as good ...yet

Only one youth player who featured last season has been loaned out by Mourinho. Compare that to Klopp who's shipped out some of your best talent.

You say it's no surprise with Rashford but everyone was saying his future was over at United the minute Jose arrived. You may also have forgotten Lingard has also played.

It was great tbh. If the game had ended goalless I still wouldnt have any complaints, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a complete difference watching us under Mourinho compared to Van Gaal. We were relentless going forward yesterday.

Ofcourse it's only 3 games but I'm enjoying watching games again after 2 years.
