Looks familiar from last 2 years. Can't defend a lead.

Not one clean sheet yet in the league this season. We looked pretty good today but I'm not changing my prediction of 7th again this year.

We did look good at times and Matip is clearly an upgrade on Skertel that's why it is frustrating. Good as we were our only goal was a penalty and the longer the game went on the less one could relax. The good news; at least Spurs didn't get a winner!

I know there is loads of time yet - always think it is bad when you play well and don't pick up points as there will be a time when we play very poor this season.

Not a dig at Utd, but already this season they are not playing well and they are 2-5 points clear of us as are Chelsea as are arse and City. This is the difference between the places. The ability to not play well and win.

The teams you are drawn to play when and where I always thinks makes a big difference - not that there is a way of fixing it cause so many variables come into play but to me early indications are this year is not our year.

Sadly I cannot see us getting above 8th this season :( Everton, however cause of how their fixtures have fallen may be the surprise(not sure if they would be classed as a surprise) - they have a massive December but don't think they will lose all of them. Tbh hope they do well - much rather Everton than Leicester (still not over that )

a virtual one on one and you want the keeper to stay on the line? Mingolet did the right thing to try and close him down and narrow the angle and if Rose hadn't have scuffed it Mings would have saved it.

if he had stayed on his line everyone would have slaughtered him for not closing down.

    the guy can't win...

    Let's put it in perspective.

Yes we should have beaten Spurs and Burnley, but our finishing let us down.

We have 4 points from 3 away games, two of which were against teams who will be challenging for top 6 places.

Not a bad start to the season

It's not a bad start - but could have and should have been better. The plus side is that the performances have been ok - bit of the rub of the green and things could have been very different (see og penalty today). Long way to go - slightly deflated but not out of anything yet :)

I didn't watch the game today (girlfriend was meeting my parents for the first time!!) so can't judge on the performance.

But a point away at Spurs is a good result. <ok>

Just disappointing the fact that we dominated for long periods of the game without being able to take chances then a terrible error from Milner (who wasn't called every name under the sun for some reason as a certain left back would've been for the same error) and more indecisive goalkeeping from Mignolet cost us the 3 points.

I think 4 points out of Arsenal, Burnley & Spurs away isnt too shoddy but its the fact it was done in a weird order. Had we lost to Arsenal, drawn against Spurs and beat Burnley there wouldn't be much complaints.

    I'm more annoyed at:
    1. Early Coutinho miss. Was a bad as skying it over the bar.
    2. Penalty on Matip. Why stop the play to tell Vertonghen he shouldn't do that and just give the penalty instead.

It was definitely Milners mistake but was otherwise an ok performance from him.

Yeah he did have a decent game to be fair but unfortunately we can't afford people in our back line who make crucial mistakes every game.

Not really Milner's fault because he's plugging a gap in the defence but Klopp/Transfer committee really need to sort out a proper left back or it will hamper us for the rest of the season.

Thought Matip was decent. Milner was decent at LB bar slight movement for their goal, although dier was as offside as lallana for our 2nd.

Cout at should have scored early shocking miss that.

Thought we we played well, given everyone was saying how our midfield was woeful and there's really strong (redknapp) thought we dominated in there.

Both good. Lovren and Matip could work imo. Mane is great but lacks options in front of him

Not sure why Klopp keeps persisting with Firmino up front, Sturridge or Origi should have started today

Mane often looks to be the most advanced player, he's certainly the only one looking to run in behind.

Interesting that Klopp brought Origi on before Studge. Really didn't think Studge would still be worth us though tbf, he's simply not a Klopp type player.
