I'm sort of pleased to get the defeat out of the way... i'll explain... we can go into the game with Burnley hopefully with new owners, new football players (love the term), a confirmed manager, brim full of confidence of beating them, followed by Arsenal who can play in front of us all day long knowing they're not as good as Manchester United (we sort of have Arsenals number anyway unlike Man Utd) same rules apply to Chelsea really, after the loss today the players must take huge confidence into forthcoming games. They deserve every accolade from every quarter, pretty or not, when Mourinho os praising how we set up today it says much.
Nearly drowned in the rain on the way home after that which would have added insult to injury.. what a remarkable performance by the lads despite the result. Heard some numpty on my headphones walking back saying bring back Bruce, just unbelievable some people, I've not seen such passion in a City side for ages. Jakupovic will be very unfortunate if Marshall takes his place and Livermore and Davies should both be near the England squad with Huddlestone and Clucas not far behind. Sounds like Snodders just pulled a calf which is a relief. As a footy fan I think Rashford is a great player for the future, obviously was cursing him at the time but for a young lad coming on you could see Englands main man for the future. Good to see big Arry back too
At a family thing this weekend d had to follow o. Live BBC text, gutted for the lads doesn't come close, would rather have lost 4 nowt than to a ****ing 92nd min winner. Bastards. sounds like another immense performance from all, and another word class one from Curtis.
Man U look a proper team so to nearly take a 0-0 is gutting but also a superb effort, Phelan has to get the job based on the last three matches
Mixed feelings on this, if they were my employers I would want to know what was going on but I can see Scholes's point, why bother dealing with these idiots
Interesting stat from the BBC match report: Hull have faced more shots than any other side in the Premier League this season (70), though have conceded just twice.
Very proud to be a Hull City supporter. The team and manager did brilliantly and deserve all the praise they are getting. Man U will not find a more determined defence in the Premier League. Up the Tigers!!
I'm less gutted than I would be under normal circumstances. TBH their goal was coming. They completely battered us for the last half hour and we were really flagging, we'd put so much into it. They look a bloody good attacking side; I can see them slaughtering some sides this year. We defended like Trojans but unlike Leicester and Swansea we didn't retain possession very well as we attached them. Consequently the ball kept on coming back into our box. To concede in the last minute, especially seen as Meyler had a decent chance to win the game not 30 seconds earlier was a sickener but even so it only means 1 lost point. That was much better than getting hammered 4-0, which they will do to sides this year. I think that we can take a lot from that performance.
The players are a credit to the club unequivocally. Hope we get in reinforcements before the deadline to lift this burden.
Another typo in Telegraph report... Caught on camera, the woman could be seen being pulled from the SCUM of United followers, before eventually finding her feet on the melee-free turf pitch side. However, the wild celebrations were soured further when fans began to flood onto the pitch, with some supporters attempting to get uncomfortably close to the United players as they made a beeline for the changing room.
Totally agree , I can't think of an example where I'd only want to win by a small margin ,I wouldn't want to patronise the opposition , it doesn't sound like anything but a corporate happy clapper ewwww .
If we don't get 3 or 4 decent players in, we're ****ed. As well as the 13 have done so far they couldn't sustain that until January. Injuries, suspensions, loss of intensity would mean that we soon would be struggling. The next 4 days will be the most important of our season.
Completely different football to Bruce, really good effort against a good side. They boys gave everything Today cannot fault them
Terrific effort from everyone in Black and Amber tonight. Desperately unlucky not to take a point from the game, Players can be proud of themselves
