One happy R here. The Dubs to win the big match in Croke Park tomorrow and it would be a great weekend.
Massive massive result today. Been down after last 2 results and wasn't"t expecting a win today. Picture this in St Raphael in France having been drink all day and Mouse texts me the score. I jump up out of my seat shouting "yes get in"! Followed by da da da da hoops and "we are QPR" for many locals to look at me. Mrs Ellers said "bloody grow up"! Oops oh well I don't care. You R"s
Apart from Calke not playing that was the team I expected and great to see it did the job. Not so good that Sandro, Caulker and Kwepk look to be on their way, unless these will fund both a decent new striker and the CB we'll need if Caulker and Kwepk go!
We've played 7 matches in August and have won 5 of those, I'd have settled for that on August 1st. Here's the match report, line-ups and stats etc. http://www.qpr.co.uk/fixtures-results/match-report/?matchid=3925494&tcmuri=3152311
Great result, good result after the last 2. Open play goals still concern me a little but then concerns come with the Job. Well done lads.
Heading home now,bit worse for wear after too many Northern sherbets. Great win and a much needed 3 points. Got to say though that the performance was really poor, especially in the first half. I don't know what it is with us,but it seems to take us 30 minutes before we wake up and start playing. Wigan were terrible, yet were still the better side in the first half. Henry and Luongo were almost anonymous for a lot of the game, and playing Cousins on the wing just doesn't work. Chief took his goal really well, but was almost culpable for letting them score 20 odd minutes from the end. Polter had a glorious chance to put it to bed,but duffed his effort straight at the keeper. They had a couple of good chances to score in the last 10 minutes but didn't take them. Can't really heap praise on anyone in particular, but as I've maligned him a lot in the past,i thought that Perch was probably our best player on the day. So 3 points on the road and up to 4th,we need a few more in before the window closes. If we can find the right players and JFH picks the right formation,we could have a good chance of getting into play-offs. U RRRRRR'S.
