So far this season we have been poor!!! One good result in first game against a poor side!! Signings not being made, Whittaker starting, persisting with a poor Naismith in his favoured position let alone out of position. Beginning to think AN is a bit clueless!!!

    Unlucky with early season injuries...yes.
Unlucky with squad depth...no, just totally inept in the transfer market <grr>
Offering Whittaker a contract extension was just a cheap, lazy cop out <ok>

Really, really poor. As bad as any of our worst performances from last season. Get Naismith and Whittaker out of the team ASAP, get Russ back in until Pinto is fit. We have plenty of attacking midfielders better than Naismith. Sign a striker, or two if Jerome is going to miss games and Kyle Lafferty is not rated by the Club. If Olsson is fit, get Brady out of LB too.

And the biggest problem in playing Naismith in his position being our best player is out of position, no coincidence that we played better after the second goal and Naitalent had been given the hook!

    Bah!

Diabolical performance by virtually the whole team. The players never looked comfortable with the change to the 4-1-4-1 formation. Jacob and Wes are the only ones who had a decent game. Brady and Klose were OK, perhaps, but the rest aren't worth mentioning. We made it very easy for a very average Brum side who simply did the basics right and fed off our mistakes.

Most ridiculous thing to me - and I know they play in different positions, but retainng Whittaker and Turner yet allowing Vadis to walk away is surely a sign of impending lunacy?

11th place behind the Binners! <yikes>

That's where we'll stay the way things are going.

Exactly Naismith just doesn't look interested!!! Get the likes of Maddison in and maybe even give Morris a go can't be as bad as Naismith so far!!!

What the hell was Whittaker given a start for! Don't tell me responsible for a defensive gaffe per chance?

    Liability at any level!

When you look at the other midfielders we have and everyone wanting to give youth a chance it made total sense to let Vadis go, what didn't make sense was keeping Turner & Whitaker. We should of got rid of both and got a decent CB. So in my mind AN got 1 out of 3 decisions right there. Why did we keep Whittaker as we had Pinto (who is clearly our best RB) and Martin as cover. The reason was AN seems to see Martin as a CB not as a RB. I can see AN using todays result as an excuse to bring Martin in for Bennett. With the exception of a couple of strikers and a decent CB to partner Klose we have a good squad, why can't AN get the best out of them.

Probably, contraversially, this is a perfect result for us.

It will hopefully wake everyone up, make everyone realise that this division is no cakewalk and help everyone understand that we need more quality, attitude and work ethic if we want to get out of it.

We need this weekend to get the scouting team earning their corn and getting in TWO new strikers, get the management team to start to recognise what is needed to win games against determined opposition and recognise we are not as good as we think we are and start working hard to rectify the mistakes.

It's too late for the scouting team to identify 2 new strikers. Our targets should have been scouted and identified months ago. In fact scouting should be a continuous process. Anyway our lack of strikers didn't lose us the game today, we've got good players and the team selected had the ability to win today.
