yes, finally got an exciting player and broken transfer record or... so we've spent £20m on someone with a knee injury then
Joe Prince-Wright lives in America. He's actually from Southampton and supports Saints. I went to school with the lad. He got a scholarship to go to the US when we were at college to play football, then he got a bad injury and had to retire. He went into journalism and is doing alright for himself. (Just a bit of useless info)
We had a very rapid rise up the leagues, but that will slow as you near the top....fewer places to climb for a start. The decision to start handing out longer contracts indicates we are entering the next phase....trying to keep players for a bit longer or, if they do try and leave, getting more money for them. Would never say that we will never get higher...it just may take longer than fans would like, but remember oak trees live longer than sunflowers.
Massively overpaying is what happens when you leave it to the last week of the transfer window. Probably buy Jonny Evans for £30m when Fonte goes
I love to see the beads on sweat on Les' baldy head as he signs the paperwork to shell out £21m. He'll be all of a dither.
Can't see us buying this stanciu, if this deal goes through, but 1 out of 2 isn't bad. Shame he can't play until October quite excited to see him in action.
Dave - put him down for 8 handicap on the golf... committee* have sat and reviewed. *that's me and you Dave
If everyone had stayed, we wouldn't have signed half the talent we have and we would then be listening to people moaning that we've stood still...
Mmm, there has still been a few though. Puel sacking date No players signed in his first week No money being spent Kat building a nest egg "Only" making three times the investment in Mane Etc, etc I actually don't think it is the pessimistic fans that melt now. It's the sadistic ones who like to create some misery for themselves, wallowing
"football" or "soccer" ? ... I stupidly turned down a soccer scholarship in the US when I was a nipper
