Hes not brilliant but he's not that bad. He's not even the worse in our team at al 3 of those attributes, just look at the 'he who shall not be named' on the left hand side. Klavan has been solid so far, admittedly didn't see game on Saturday so can't comment, but he seems a steady 7/10 every week, no big errors, nothing fancy just get the ball keep it simple and clear lines of have to. Been impressed with him from what I've seen so far, def most consistent we have atm
mankini joined sunderland. thrid club in a row on a season long loan with option to buy.... like.... hmmmm... hope he enjoys travel and being told he's not wanted..
Weird that. Can't see why any player would want to keep going out on loan year after year. I'd be asking them to sell me and go somewhere where can play first team football all year and 2-3 years even if it's a step down to then step back up. Before he knows it he'll be 27 never really be at a club properly and wasted 5/6 years of his career.
BBC Sport: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has "absolutely no problem" with Daniel Sturridge after the striker said he was unhappy playing in a wide position. Sturridge, 26, scored twice after coming on as 64th-minute substitute as theReds beat Burton Albion 5-0 in the EFL Cup second round on Tuesday. Afterwards, Sturridge said he has to "do a job for the team" on the wing but prefers playing as a centre-forward. "It wasn't a fixed position. Daniel is a very smart player," said Klopp. "He's good at getting himself into positions where it's not easy to defend. "There is absolutely no problem." Divock Origi started Tuesday's game up front for Liverpool, with Sturridge - who also played on the right in Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Burnley - replacing Roberto Firmino. "Of course it is more difficult for me to play wide," said Sturridge. "I'm a centre-forward. "I have to do a job for the team. That's not saying I am happy to do it. "That's saying I have got to do a job for the team. It's a team game. If I am put in that position, I have to play there."
Rio Ferdinand was a good defender at Leeds United and became a better defender at Manchester United. I believe Lovern can be better provided?.
yeah i get you. I think athletico have been trying to sell ut they've not got it over the line. marseille was a poor move for the lad. there's no money in that for him. He's now got no excuse. the "line" was homesickness here. He was in then suddenly gone and not played for months... nobody has ever asked rogers or the insiders why cos it was only manquillo. So now he's up in sunderland trying to earn a move? Hmmmmm... If i were him i'd have asked for the move form atletico.
If they're 18/19 and do it for couple years fair enough. But he's 23? Been on loan to 3 different clubs for 3 seasons, in different countries.. Needs to settle down somewhere.
. Live Liverpool transfer news and rumours live: Reds linked with Leeds left-back Charlie Taylor as Mamadou Sakho and Mario Balotelli near exit
Sunderland sign full-back Javier Manquillo from Atletico Madrid. I always felt he had potential and can cover both FB sides.
i always thought he needed to go on a diet - not sure he really was chubby but gave that impression and seemed a bit sluggish. though it was a bit odd how he made 1 mistake and from then on he might as well carried a bell and shouted "unclean unclean" everytime he moved
He was a young and solid defender for us. Had pace, height and strength. Strange how his career panned out but I do think he's a solid player.
he'd nothing at all going forward. which is kind of interesing given the verbal bashing certain others get for the same crime.
Decent defensively, nothing great but was poor going forward, not a Klopp FB and given his stop start stop stop nature of his career, quite happy we didn't take the plunge on him.
Zaha to Spurs for £15m? Interesting one that... Wonder if it'll mean Son goes to Germany agree being linked.
funny transfers all round. I know zaha is nothing special but it seems andros townsend signing has lead to the lad getting the push here. spurs though? seems a risk by spurs.
i can't get my head round that one. Zaha has been poor since his transfer to ManU and anyway thought Spurs had already agreed to sign a winger with N'?? going the other way
Think that deal feel through. Zaha is being bought has backup, can't see him getting into their first XI on a regular basis. He's been a bit hit and miss since his return to Palace, my mate John.. said he's the most talented player on their squad but he's a bit of a idiot.. said hes needs to buckle down and be less of a "playa" off the pitch and more of a "player" on it!
