    For the sake of making a miniscule profit and the effort it takes to complete a transfer in or out, yes it is pointless to basically swap cuco for pied.

    Can't they afford Cedric? or have they been put off by his non Portugal performances (before and after the euros.)

    Wonder what his crossing is like? He seemed to enjoy cutting back short to Pierre to cross against Watford. I thought he looked pretty solid based on that game.

    Apart from the fact Cuco wasn't really a footballer at the level we need and Pied is expected to be an upgrade.

    Cuco was ok as back up, but not good enough as a starter . From what I've seen so far I feel the same about pied.

    Pied can play in about 4 or 5 postions, he is also better then Cuco (imo). So I am happy that we got him.

    If Cuco wasn't good enough to start, he wasn't good enough as a back up.

    Bit early to judge Pied. But to me he looks a huge improvement already.

    Ok, that explains its better. You dont think (from the exchange with Fats) that Pied is better than Cuco.

    I dont agree as I think Pied is an upgrade, better positionally in defence and better going forward, but each to their own.

    Not a problem BTK, pied may well prove to be better than Cuco , but at the moment the jury is out on that one for me.
