Defoe is still dangerous despite his age as we found out last season, and he's already shown man city that if you give him a chance hel stick it in the back of the net. I'd hope we would be good enough to beat this lot , but it's not always as simple as that. Id take a win in any shape or form to get our season started. 2-1 , with long scoring both, and a nervy finish.
I will take any win, any how....but would be nice to do it stylishly with a good score as you never know if you need a good GD. Got a title to think about.
Sunderland will be very happy to just stack men in their own half and allow us to pass the ball around in front of them. Good test of whether we can fashion genuine chances against a packed defense.
