Early days but two average games and four average sides. It might just be me but the Premier league has really dropped in quality over the last couple of years.
There are so many average teams at the moment, Sunderland, West Brom, Palace, Boro, Bournemouth, Burnley, Swansea, Watford are all very beatable. I don't think Stoke, West Ham, Southampton or Leicester have looked much better either. Its got to be the easiest it has been for a while, a couple of half-decent signings and we'd be laughing.
Most of the teams you listed as average have more points than those you listed as "not looking much better". Which is interesting, do you think the average teams have had easier games or that those slightly better have played well and just not got the results?
And there me was thinking it was a Hull City supporters website! #129 City Man, Thursday at 9:13 PM Fancy that, pontificating about Aston Villa!
He has always been prone to a mistake, he did OK for us, but I was never convinced he was good enough.
Really? What did he say? We get a different (crapper) commentary over here, solely focused on the Americans.
David Moyes 'We did well with the players we had available!' Christ, he wants to try a day in the shoes of Phelan! I only hope Guzan is in goal when we play Middlesbrough, he is gash. He spilt the ball loads of times.
And that's all that matters. Forget third spot it's all about that gap and how far we can stretch it.
No better or worse than Mannone when he was on here - both gone on to be decent PL keepers. No, wait, wtf am I saying? He wasn't great today, so all his previous PL seasons must be retrospectively downgraded in light of this.
Or he had a good season that year. Since my comment was about his performances last season I'm not sure what the 12/13 season has to do with it. That was four years ago.
Mannone was better than Guzan and still is. And if you seriously think people's opinions have changed based on yesterdays performance, take a look at the general transfer thread when he signed for Boro.
