Very true mate. We paid 6m 7 months ago and we all thought who the fecks this? Now hes turned into Billy big bollocks. His agent deserves to be knee capped by the way. Hes the ring leader in all of this.
Yup it is great news. It's like, 'OK you have a bad back well piss off till the window is closed then we will see if you want to play or not'
Ive gained more respect for Moyes over this decision. Given time i think he'll sort us out big time. Whether that means one step back ie relegation and then 2 or 3 steps forward remains to be seen.
I doubt it. General rule of thumb is, if one paper reports something it's almost certainly bollocks, if they're all reporting the same thing then they're usually close to the truth (examples being muktiple papers breaking both the kone story and the kaboul one before anything official was said). With that in mind, every report i have read states that we were willing to "make him a top earner" and offer him "around £50k/week". That's more than fair imo, in fact I'd say it's generous for a centre half who's only done it for half a year in this league. In summary, i reckon he's a ****.
The more I think about the whole situation it boils my piss. If it is true and Kone is being a **** (faking a injury) and trying to force a move Darren Bent style I would **** him right off. First tell Everton on Monday morning you have 2 options. 1. 15m plus Mirallas and Jagellka Or 2. 25m cash up front. Tell them every day they leave it closer to sept 1st price goes up. If they don't want him then tell Kone you have till January to prove yourself all over again if by then you do we will think about offering you another contract. If you don't then rot in the reserves for the remainder of your current contract. We have lost 14m on fletcher, 10m on Johnson, 5m on Graham this year so another 5m on Kone isn't going to kill us. It would be worth it to see him rot. No player is bigger than the club.
How often do reports tell you how a contract is structured? Barely ever. For all we know a large percentage of that could be top ends bonuses very tough to activate. We've got form for it with our transfer bids. True the papers are known for printing ****. But they're also known for trivialising when reality is much more complected.
And therein lies the problem. The owners know this - that's why they don't give a ****. It's the same at Newcastle. Ashley constantly takes the piss but they still turn up in droves.
I have to say that I admire Moyes for his stance on Kone. He knows as well as anyone that the situation is far from ideal but he's putting his foot down and letting them know who's boss. It's probably the one positive to come from it, I'd much rather that then someone like Schteeve giving Kone a sickly smile and offering him back rubs in the cafeteria.
Having signed Williams and having a good start to the season not sure Everton will be that bothered anymore about signing him. Lakaku staying now so may be limited in funds?
Lets not forget Kone's statement about giving his all in training etc then he comes in with a bad back sound like a total tw*t to me. Well done Moyes let him rot.
Put him in stockades in the centre circle and let everyone hoy tomatoes at him. Not606 lining up. please log in to view this image
Club record fee is £13 million and there's suggestions we freeze him out at a loss of £18million. Seems a little bit insane.
According to moyes he's not going anywhere!! https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...SunFootball-_-20160823-_-Football-_-551962383
Hope Moyes is NOT getting together a championship side before season has started - relegation , straight back up as champions parachute payments cover many losses. If so I can't see him being here in January Really gloomy atm - it'll be an interesting transfer deadline day for us .
Hoping this is true - keep Kone, sign M'Villa & 2-3 other 1st teamers and I'll settle for that, especially what's been going on the last few weeks. Bart
