Having just moved home from the US, and bagged 3 season tickets, this was not the game I was hoping to see. Last week the performance was fair, glossed over a bit by the win. This week our lack of pace, creativity in midfield and poor service to a mediocre #9 bit us on the backside.

With the new owners there, I can only hope after seeing this they will green light more than one new signing......because we damn well need something. If Bony really is available for 13m, I could care less what the wages are to some extent, or what other players think....they should just get him. He knows how we play, links well with Siggy and knows where the net is. Not having a back up striker today was a joke as Llorente was done after 60 mins or so. Also, neither Fer or Ki will cut it for me.....too inconsistent by far. We have to show some balls before the window closes or a think we are in for a rougher ride than last year.

Very evident to see that considering Fer was CM today, every time we've lost the ball he has no desire to track back and help win the ball back. Reminding me of a poorer version of JDG watching this.

Looking at this game we need a quality CB, cover for Leon - Fer is average at best and we shouldn't have signed him, still can't believe we signed this donkey instead of Joe, a creative midfielder to provide a spark when Gylfi isn't at his best and a bloody striker

Missed the game at the Liberty due to a prior engagement but have just seen match choice. Not as poor as some posters have made out. Fernandez allowed Curtis Davies to get in front of him for the header and Kingsley let Maloney get in front of him for the finish. The second goal reminded me of how Defoe caught us out defending too square last season. This was the disappointment to me that after all the preseason preparation we still haven't sorted out our defensive weaknesses.

 

We are in trouble there is no way from getting away from it. If the players were not up for this game the first one at home then there is something wrong and I cant see Guildo being able to out fox the majority of managers in the premiership if he cant get them to play at home against a club in turmoil and favourite for the drop.
We have bought poor and that will be our downfall. We have not learned anything since Bony left and that says it all....We might as well play Fulton as our No1 striker as at least he knows how to score and those who say the striker never got any service is talking rubbish. We are a poor side with a poor manager and it shows....

Your team is boring to watch and looking at your upcoming fixtures, you face Leicester, Chelsea, Man city, Liverpool, Arsenal, Watford, Stoke, Man Utd, and Everton.

I won't be surprised if you only manage 3-4 points from them fixtures.

Of course he didn't get service, without he is not going to score, fcuk assing about in midfield is going to leave us goalless when he plays, we need to be direct with him and use his style of play to succeed

 

We have 2 strikers, 3 if you count Emnes, we don't need another striker unless Emnes leaves! And Fer had a poor game and was replaced by Montero, but then he also had a poor game, perhaps we should replace him as well as he was average when he came on? But then most of the team were average, perhaps we should replace them all? Where do we stop?
