A MOUTHWATERING showdown between star juveniles Lady Aurelia and Caravaggio looks to be off after trainer Aidan O'Brien said he planned to wait for the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on September 24 with the latter. More here

Not sure it was ever on the cards Ron.

Both Scat Daddy offspring ergo it suits the Coolmore operation to avoid a face off and one lose its unbeaten record.

Ideally they'd like both of these juveniles to go through the season unbeaten, winning more G1's,to boost the sires profile.

You are probably right Dexter, with the death of Scat Daddy Caravaggio becomes the obvious successor and so a valuable piece of horseflesh.

I was hoping to pop over to Deauville to see that. Oh well sounds like it wasn't ever going to happen. Didn't think of that connection.

Thanks Busty for pointing out the demise of Scat Daddy last December...I obviously wasn't aware.

Shame since he was starting to gather momentum..fee was up to a career high of $100,000.
