This is really really difficult. Pretty much any combination would pass muster. But... 1. Livermore - this guy is playing out of position. Tell that to Llorente. 2. Snodgrass - so composed, top of his game. 3. Clucas - another immense performance doing the tidying up.
With Dawson out Livermore has been vital. We seem to break slightly quicker. I'm not sure I want our system changed when Maguire is available. Don't fix something that ain't broke.
Davies Snodgrass Hernandez - tireless work Again - superb team effort...Maloney was excellent when he came on. Good call by Phelan. Livermore did well too.
Not voting as listened on Tigersplayer but Swanny commented that Livermore looks very accomplished at CB as 1. He calmly takes control of the ball, doesn't hoof it as many CBs do, but picks a pass to midfield, 2. Playing alongside a class act like Davies helps him
Davies - Captain Fantastic....another masterful performance...at both ends Jakupovic...his save from Sigurdsson was world-class and the turning point in the game. Snodgrass...another all-out effort...brave performance...it was a clear penalty. Honorable mentions....the rest of the heroic 12...well done lads!!!
